Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Mission 1:
Spoiler:

It was about 2:30 in the afternoon when Isais was sitting at his desk. At that time he was enjoying a very well deserved break; eating the milk and cookies sent to him from his good friend and champion baker, Tim Scrodner. He had himself over 50 cookies in one packaging box. These cookies were assorted by type and just the smell of them alone was enough to make the driest mouth water in delight. Isais enjoyed these cookies with milk from the buffest cows in hyougagakure. Of course the buffness of the cows really had nothing to do with the way the milk taste, but Isais makes a point to eat things that are or atleast seem top notch.

He would eat about 10 cookies and when his glass reached half the quantity of milk he would open his desk drawer and pull out a dark brown jar. From that jar he would dip a spoon and scoop up about four table spoons of the richest chocolate syrup and mix it in with his milk. Now having himself some chocolate milk and cookies he would clean his spoon with his mouth and put it away along with the syrup. Why a man with such a serious disposition would have soo many sweets in his office illudes many but atleast for this time being he was enjoying the finer things. It wasn't about revenge, loneliness, fear, deception, mischief or any other common theme in his life for at that moment he was at peace. Sadly peace isnt something that lasts too long in hyougagakure. At 2:33 in the afternoon the sun light would pierce through his office window like a spotlight giving away his comfortable state of being to a knock at the door.

Isais' peaceful expression would change to an annoyed one as he heard the knock and the voice that would then follow. "Fubukikage-sir, we have word of four monks at the village gates. They said that they were sent here from that unknown village that monk, miroku spoke about. We request orders on what actions we should take next sir." Isais a bit bothered by the thought of work keeps silent for a few moments. He looked out towards the window to see the beauty of the day. Usually this would be his opportunity to go about pretending to be a character that hes really not. But at this moment he really didnt want to be bothered. "Uhh..sir? I still await your orders." Isais would turn his attention back to the closed door. "Ummm, alright got it, here's what you need to do. Today is Xaviers day off so he aint gunna want to work but tell him he could have five of Tim Scrodner's finest cookies which I have in my office if he would show these holy men around and tend to their needs at least until the evening.  If he disagrees, offer him up to two more cookies but keep the number below eight or else youre being demoted." The shinobi on the other side of the door would answer back in confusion, "wa..over cookies ,sir?" Isais would cringe his eyes brows together as he stares at the door. "You speak like they aint even good or something? Do you have any idea who tim scroder is?" The shinobi would reply, "I thought it was Scrodner?" Isais would respond quickly, "That's what I said!" The shinobi would disagree, "no you said scroder, sir" Isais annoyed, "nah neg, im sure I said Scrodner; so shut your mouth soldier!"  The shinobi responds, "Yes sir!" Isais snaps, "I said shut it!"

Silence falls and then Isais would continue, "Also one of my good friends is coming to town, how we met, pretty interesting. He's from kusa but tell him that im putting him on this escort mission too." Isais begins to build excitement, " Tell him this is a mission of great importance! Tell him that this is a mission of epic proportions.  Let him know that this is surely a quadruple S ranked mission! Hahahaha" the shinobi would kindly interject, "uh, sir this is a D rank mission.  Atleast I think, no im pretty sure of it. Escort missions at home are D ranks especially when it deals with people that are unimpor.." Isais would rudely interrupt, "Didnt I tell you to shut up? And what? Now you're kage?! Youre telling me what ranks the missions are? " it would get quiet for about a minute. "Hey, you still there?" Isais would ask and the shinobi would respond with a single knock on the door. " terrific! Now go tell them what I said." The shinobi would take off to send messages to the others as Isais would sit comfortably in his office eating the finest cookies and sipping what is now chocolate milk.  Sometimes being a kage is truly hard work.

"Don't be ridiculous clearly he's my man and you should just back off" Xavier would stifle a laugh as he listened to the women quarrel below. After doing all that was to be done today and returning home and sitting upon its rooftop as the day carried on Xavier had stumbled upon a very entertaining scene. He'd had the urge to try and intervene but he'd figured they'd just turn on him and make him the enemy, as most cold hearted Hyougagakure women did it was wise just to stay out of their way. He'd settled down and watch the chaos ensue. The women were nearing each other now, pressing their faces against one another which could only mean a fight was about to break out. Sadly this is where the fun would have to end. Xavier would drop down behind one of the women just as she was readying to deck the other in the jaw. Grabbing her hand he'd attempt to end the pointless fight "whoa now, let's not get too hasty here...". They both turned and stared at him with a look that could possibly freeze even the coldest of ice cubes. So this is how he would die huh? Attempting to stop women from hurting each other, what a way to go. The women whom hand he'd grabbed pulled free and began walking away uninterested in the people behind her. "Sis, wait for me!" the other girl would chase after the first leaving Xavier standing there with a look of pure confusion. Releasing a breath of relief he'd rub the back of his head "I swear if anyone I know has little girls they better find someone else to babysit". With that coming to an odd conclusion Xavier was bored. He'd stare up at the sky and lose himself a midst his thoughts. Then it came to him "Should've been that rebound guy or whatever they call um, good job Xav". Stuffing his hands into his pants pockets he'd begin walking among his people.

"Perhaps I'll visit Isais, surely he'd be able to provide me with some entertainment right? The bringer of mischief always has an ace up his sleeve". Hoping up onto one of the nearest roof top he'd begin bounding toward the kage building. On his way there however he'd be intercepted by another shinobi  "Xavier Deventris! Message from the kage, 4 monks have entered the village from the foreign village, you're to escort these monks around the village and cater to their needs until evening has arrived". Xavier would twitch a bit as he heard this "he's aware that this is my day off correct?" the shinobi would nod and continue "He says that he'll offer you.... I believe 9 or even 10 of Scrodner's famous cookies!". Xavier would pause for a second, he knew the value and taste of such a cookie and to be offered 9 of them was pure luck if anything. Xavier would nod his approval "Tell that busta that I'll do it but if he eats my cookies I'll glue his hands to his mouth in his sleep" and with that he was off to meet these monks.

Reaching the gates he could pick out the four with ease as they stood out like sore thumbs and besides that every now and again someone would stop and look at them as if they'd never seen such outfits before carrying on with their business. Xavier would land before the monks, his jacket billowing after him, he'd smile at them all before speaking "welcome to Hyougagakure the land of the cold and the home of the freezing, glad you could make it". He'd allow each of the monks to introduce themselves before they began the tour of the village that was the hidden glacier. "Do you ever get heat waves? or heat at all for that matter?" Xavier pondered this for a minute "well there was this one time when the sun broke through the clouds and almost melted the whole village..." they all gasped in surprise and Xavier contained a laugh "yup, we'd all be goners if it wasn't for me, saved the whole village but that's a story for another day" he went ahead and stopped while he was ahead. They didn't know it but Xavier was leading them right toward the kage's building (let's see how they cookie eating sucka enjoys unexpected company). As they made their way there a random merchant had dropped one his products on the ground and by total accident one of the monks happened to step on it. Infuriated the merchant began descending upon the group having a total melt down and even threatened to loop their heads off with a knife he'd drawn "Calm down! It was an accident!"

Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier Empty
PostSubject: Re: Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier   Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier EmptyWed Jun 04, 2014 6:43 pm

The beautiful afternoon sun was shining brightly, reflecting off the empty plate that sat before Rumi, the food that it bore moments ago now completely gone. Rumi leaned back, his arms reaching to the sky as he stretched after scarfing down his delicious meal of seafood. Rumi had always been a sucker for eating anything that used to move at some point.

As the Chūnin pushed his chair out from under him, the price of his meal tucked neatly beside his empty plate, a man had appeared behind him, unknowingly to Rumi. The man reached out, and tapped Rumi twice on the shoulder, and the Jinchurrikki turned around, his eyes landing upon the Fubikages Slave-Guy. He looked at the man, silent for a moment, before finally muttering,

"Yes?"

The man took an involuntary step back, slightly taken aback by Rumis unexcited tone, before he regained his posture, and cleared his throat loudly. "The Fubukikage Isais would like you to take a mission of utmost importance with another shinobi of his. He claims that it is a, uh, Quadruple S-Ranked mission."

Rumi looked up from his hands, and raised a single eye-brow, looking at the man. Really, Isais? The man who had appeared in his bedroom that day(It's not as bad as it sounds) truly thought them as close as Rumi thought he did. While it wasn't false Rumi wouldn't mind getting to know him and that other shinobi better, Rumi wasn't sure he would be up for doing this mission.

He sighed, before walking past the man, not saying a single word. The man froze, confused on what just happened, before he turned around panically, and stumbled after Rumi, trying to convince him to take it.

"This is a great mission, Traveller! Imagine the reward that you will receive for it! The monks will be forever grateful! Imagi-"

Rumi turned around, his face suddenly displaying interest in the mission. Monks? Were these the same monks that have been appearing in every other village recently? They had seemingly come out of nowhere, and they had interested Rumi, but he wasn't one to do things alone. He didn't exactly enjoy going against the crowd, so he let them be. But now, there was a reason to go for them, and he wouldn't be alone. There would be a different Shinobi going with him. A new friend! And imagine the knowledge that these damned monks held.

Rumi closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, thinking about how exactly he was going to word this. He opened his eyes slowly, and the words belted out of his mouth,

"Where do I go?"

The Messenger-Mans face seemed to light up with ease, and he began to speak once again, "The monks should be by the gate, but the other shinobi have already ta-" Too late. Rumi had already walked past the man once again, ignoring any of his words after the word 'gate' was uttered. He began his journey to the gates, in which he has assumed that that was where the monks were.

But Rumi wasn't even halfway there when he noticed that there was a group of four strangely dressed men following another man in the direction of the Fubukikage Tower. Was that his partner? Rumi assumed at least. He began to make his way over to the monks, working his way around the public, weaving in and out of peoples ways until he reached right behind the monks.

Before he even spoke, though, one of the monks ended up stepping on a piece of merchandise on a merchants cart, and the man just had a total meltdown. Rumi looked around nervously, as if he was half expecting someone to do something. Then, he realized, this was his time to shine. Rumi walked around the monks, and pulled out a few coins from his pocket, and quickly placed it in the yelling merchants hand.

"I got it, sir. Don't worry, that should be enough to cover the damage."

Rumi nodded to the merchant, smiling cheekily at him.

The situation was beginning to escalate until someone showed up and offered to pay for the damaged goods. The merchant clearly was not one to pass up money as he quickly swiped the money from the boy's hand and went on his marry way. Xavier would sigh a bit and rub the back of his neck "well that was a bit unexpected". "All Hyougagakurians like that?" one of the monks asked and Xavier would smile at him "for the most part, yeah but you learn to love um". He'd look at the guy whom come to their aid and he realized he knew this one "I know you, you're.... um what was your name again?". Xavier didn't mean to come off as rude it was just as he had said though, he knew the boy back when he and Isais was in kusa they had stumbled upon each other, he just so happened to have forgotten his name. "nice to see ya again, what are you here for anyway? You're a long way from the heat of Kusa". The monks would begin muttering something behind him which aroused a bit of suspicion from Xavier but he would not intrude for now. Turning back to the monks "Shall we continue I'm sure there's a bit more you'd all like to see right?" He would start walking again the monks in tow and expected Rumi to follow as well.

"And to your left you have our illustrious theatre, home to many of the greatest performers throughout the world whenever you get the chance stop by trust me it's worth it". They would continue to walk down the streets of the frozen city while Xavier pointed out a variety of things. The sun would poke out from behind the clouds every now and again in a different location, revealing that the day was slowly but surely coming to a close. The trip was fairly fun, telling stories to foreign people proved to be quite entertaining and everything was going smoothly, that is until yet another wild occurrence reared its head. As the group continued down the street another man who appeared to be in his late 30s would confront the group "oh hell no, what is this? A batch of weirdos in my village? No no I wont stand for this I'm tired of weirdos coming up in here with their weird customs and what not!". Xavier would put on a stern look, though the people of Hyouga were indeed cold toward foreigners this guy was trying to cause a scene. A group was starting to form out of onlookers waiting to see what was going on, if he managed to rile them up as well this wouldn't end well "listen to yourself, you sound stupid perhaps you've visited the tavern one too many times today and it's not even night yet". The man got a bit agitated and retaliated "shut yer trap, boy! I decide when not to drink! And I decide when to let some weirdos go running about my village and I've had it up to here with that!" he had raised his hand into the air to indicate just how much he'd had it as he said. Xavier would laugh a bit "Fubukikage, sir! I had no idea it was you, my apologies you look so much more uglier without your kage attire on" the joke seemed to have amuse the crowd as they erupted in laughter some leaving to go about their business. Xavier would turn and whisper to his friend, Rumi "care to lend a hand? He just wants to cause a scene no need to get rough just yet, unless you think you can take um then be my guest".

Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier Empty
PostSubject: Re: Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier   Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier EmptyMon Jun 23, 2014 8:29 pm

"My names Rumi, I came to check the place out, maybe stop by and see Isais and you, cause after you guys came into my house it kept bugging me that I never saw you guys again."

Rumi followed Xavier, stepping a bit behind him and to the left, as the monks were all gawking at everything that the Special Jounin was pointing out, and Rumi couldn't help but be a little amazed at the contrast between Hyougagakure and Kusamuragakure. The two villages were so different. Kusamuragakure was much less serene and calm. It didn't have the sort of mature atmosphere that Hyougagakure contained, and that everyone here was civilized and such. The architecture here was also astonishing to say the least, and it was clearly something to boast about, and Rumi honestly may have gawked as well alongside the Monks. But he had too much pride, so he decided to just stare at the places with hidden awe and wonder.

Well, sadly, Rumis amazement at the villages high standards were cut short, as the drunk man had seemingly come out of nowhere for him, and just decided to insult Rumi and the other outsiders. The Chuunin looked at the monks, then back at the drunk, thinking that, while he personally wouldn't feel to kindly about so many odd people roaming his village, this guy was still going just a bit overboard with his feelings.Everyone is a person, and this guy failed to view the monks as people with feelings, too.

Rumi raised his eyebrows, perplexed with Xaviers response to the guy outwardly insulting everyone around him. He seemed eerily calm about this. That was a good trait to have, Rumi figured. He would probably be crapping his pants right now if he were in Xavis position, but alas, to the luck of the people around him, he wasn't.

Care to lend a hand? He just wants to cause a scene no need to get rough just yet, unless you think you can take um then be my guest.

Whaaaat?

Rumi looked at Xavier, and his left eye instinctively twitched out of fear of what might happen if Rumi actually took Xavier up on that offer. He shrugged his shoulders, and muttered something along the lines of "I can't do much of anything." and looked down at his feet.

Rumi wasn't about to get in the middle of an argument about outsiders, when he himself was an outsider in the eyes of this guy. And the fact that Rumi had serious troubles that had to do with fighting other people and being on the losing side and his self esteem and everything in between. He was not going to get in the middle of this. So, Rumi shook his head no quickly after he spoke, before his head perked up, and he spoke quietly,

"Why can't we just turn and leave him here shouting?"

PostSubject: Re: Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier   Call in a few friends: Rumi and Xavier EmptyWed Jul 02, 2014 7:36 pm

(OOC: Forgot about this completely xD. Alrights, my bad mane.)

Rumi! That was his name, Xavier knew he'd know it when he heard it, their previous encounter was quite brief but he still should have remembered his name. Xavier listened as he explained what he was doing outside of Kusa and went as far as to travel all the way to the coldest village in history "You came to see us? Sweet. I'm sure Isais will be happy to see you as well". Xavier would be sure to show Rumi all of the other good sights as well after this minor tour, though they'd rather it be off the map completely Hyougagakure has quite a few astonishing accomplishments. As they walked and he talked Xavier kept tabs on all of their reactions, Rumi's included, the monks evident fascination was quite enjoyable to watch while Rumi's expression remained blank and bland either he wasn't one for sight seeing or he wasn't one for showing emotions. Xavier shrugged, he wouldn't worry about it, the tour was going by surprisingly fast, At the rate the group was traveling they'd probably reach the Kage house just as the sun would begin its descent and Xavier would turn these monks over to Isais.

As they were confronted by the drunkard, Xavier would catch Rumi's minor show of lack of self confidence, he'd pat him on the shoulder "Haha no worries my friend". Xavier would turn to confront the man when Rumi said something to him "Ah well the thing about that is if we leave the problem unresolved it'll fester, I don't need this guy inciting a minor riot because of his wishy-washy out look on how things work" Xavier would shrug not all the Hyougagakurians could have common sense. He'd approach the man and straighten his face "one more chance old man, shut your mouth and go back to your drinking". The man would draw closer, his breath radiating its drunken scent "I ain't goin' no where til these damned foreigners get out of my village". Xavier wouldn't prolong and feed this man's ego. The punch was quick and decisive, the man  doubled over clutching his gut and groaning. Returning to his group of visitors Xavier would draw a smile "shall we continue on our way?".

The group of people who had formed a crowd earlier quickly disbanded and convened else where once the man had been silenced. Xavier would start walking again as they were only a few more minutes from the kage house. "What will happen to the man? Will he punished?" Xavier would laugh aloud at the monk's question but not in a rude way "his punishment will be humiliation, otherwise no he will not as he hadn't really done anything wrong". As they arrived at the Kage building and entered Xavier would continue his tourist thing "and here we are at the lovely kage establishment, this is where our Fubukikage can be found doing his daily duties". He would lead the group up the stairs and straight to the Fubukikage's door. "And this is where our tour ends my friends, it was swell showing you around, talk to our Kage, I'm sure he has rooms for you somewhere in the village." He'd turn to Rumi and give a small smile "Isais will probably want to see you too, I'll see ya around". Xavier would open the door for them and lead them inside, giving a small wave to his friend "I'll be expecting all 10 of my cookies before the day ends Isais!" he'd quickly exit out of the room before he could hear otherwise and continue on with whatever else came his way today.
