It was early morning in the cold wastelands of the village known as Hyougagakure. Properly adorned with a series of layered clothing, and not her typical ninja clothing, she was prepared to start a mission anew. She walked toward the mission station, formally saluting two guards which patrolled the small, yet fortified, building. The inside was roughly bleak, partially filled to the brim with paperwork. In the center of the room, a small crowd had gathered to see the possible working opportunities for the day. In order to avoid any problems, Karei simply waited out for a few minutes until the group left their stations and left the building to pursue what they had deemed necessary at the time.

Walking toward the board, she scanned its listings for something worth getting and finally found something she could probably be good at. Though it was unorthodox, as it hadn't partained to anything worthy of a Special Jounin of her caliber, she figured it was a start to get her mission career back online. Smiling, she walked over to the sign in desk, speaking to the clerk behind the counter, whom was more than glad to see her once again. They did know each other, though nothing more than the simple 'Hi' and 'Bye' occasions. As she approached the window, she had heard a crowd gathering out front. Unsure of what it was, she ignored it for the time being and assumed it was probably the party which she was supposed to be escorting today. "Little Miss Magnus. How are we doing today?" the clerk asked with boastful happiness. "Nothing out of the ordinary, Roku. Although it is a bit cold this morning. I think its global warming." The two shared a laugh as she slid the paper she had ripped from the mission boards moments before. Signing her name on a paper, they waved goodbye and she was prepared for her departure.

Walking out of the small building, she pushed aside a curtain which would reveal a group of tourists, which had promptly dressed in accordance with the ever-freezing weather conditions which seemed to plague the steppes of Hyougagakure. No matter for her however, as she would wave and hold her hand in the air, speaking out in an attempt to catch the attention of the bustling group of men and women. "Hello, hello, tourists of the world. I am going to be your tour guide, Sylvia Magnus, and it is nothing less than an honor to be escorting you throughout this wonderful village." She'd sigh, smiling at the group. This certainly was not her style.

The crowd had all settled down for the time being, though one person in particular caught the eye of the kunoichi, Sylvia. A man, whom seemed to be balding, began murmuring things of sociological stupidity under his breath. "God.. Can we hurry this up.. I'm freezing my nuts off out here." Sylvia couldn't help but let loose a slight giggle, though she knew it may have been disrespectful to the man. Disregarding his personal idea of how the village made him feel, she continued on to pay attention to the more respectful tourists, whom assorted themselves in a closed, straight line. "Now. If you would all follow me, I would be happy to show you around." With that, the group was off. Step after step left foot prints in the snow which covered a vast majority of the village, save for a few spots where snow had not covered due to awnings, or had simply melted under the warmth of the sun whenever it happened to show its face in the village.

The crowd, although once loud, had silenced themselves for respect of their tour guide, Sylvia. Her fluffy coat and padded flak jacket went nicely with her chosen foot pads which had an extra layer of cowhide within the fitting, so as to further maintain absolute warmth control while in cold weather. Pointing to a moderately large statue in the center of the town square, she would begin to explain the history behind it. "This is the famed and world renowned hero of Hyougagakure, Tsunai Kitsuke. In the third era, IV: 454, it was rumored that Tsunai had defended the small country of Ice, now known as the very steppes that you all walk upon, from an invading group of samurai, alongside his apprentices and followers. Though the attempt inevitably resulted in the death of this man, his courage and bravery nevertheless serves as a broad aspect of what the men and women of this village are capable of; even fighting despite knowing the very high chances of death in our cruel, though beautiful, world. With an assortment of ooh's and aah's, the crowd fell silent once more, save for the inevitable slurping of the balding man sipping from a canteen, presumably filled with alcohol judging by the scent coming from the bum.

Shaking her head, Sylvia had continued onward with the tour. The mishaps and ignorance of one tourist shouldn't spoil it for the rest. After about three hours of showing them around the most known locations, and pointing out the most renowned food joints in Hyougagakure, the tour was coming to a screeching halt soon enough. Directing the group of people to a more well known establishment, she explained that a well seasoned and fresh fish known as heliopiscies was on the menu, and they should most certainly try the exquisite delicacy. The balding man laughed aloud, groaning and going on about how the tour sucked in his opinion. "You suck.. This village sucks.." He'd hiccup. "You.. Are the worst tour guide ever." Sylvia would try and calm him down, approaching him with her hands up in case of an offensive strike being made by the man. "Sir, please calm down. You are incredibly into-" Before she could finish her sentence the man lashed out at her, screaming while a fist was thrown toward her face. "I'M NOT DRUNK, YOU BITCH!" Sylvia quickly used the mans weight and his loss of balance due to the alcoholic beverages against him, catching his fist and throwing a sweep kick toward his feet, which would concurrently cause him to fall backward and land on his bottom.

Taking his hand and twisting it in a clockwise position, she would apply a generous amount of pressure so as to subdue the man and keep him from continuing this charade of drunken idiocy. "Guards." She'd shout out, as two already approaching shinobi of Hyougagakure rushed to the scene, taking his hand and winding a type of steel twine around his wrists in the form of a butterfly knot. "That outta' do it. Good job, Magnus." The guard complimented her on her detainment skills. Sylvia simply smiled and concluded the tour. Walking back to the building, she was happily greeted by Roku, who handed her a paper which stated she got a 4-star review on her report. "Nice going, Little Miss Magnus." She'd laugh lightly. "Oh, shut up and give me my money, Roku."
