Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Spoiler:

Finally, something that was more up Rin's alley! Walking a big ol' beast of a dog was much more interesting, and definitely preferable when compared to chasing some spoiled cat down from a tree. Now that he thought about it, he was suddenly reminded that he needed to fix the house that tree fell down on... It might not have been the smartest idea, but at least he got the thing down safely. He'd even apologized to the residents of the house, what else could he do?!

Rin stopped outside of the house that he had been instructed to go to. He scratched his chin as he thought, wondering what kind of dog the owner must have had. Why couldn't she walk it herself? Was it that massive and beastly? Or maybe it was some horrifyingly mean dog. Rin could only smirk eagerly as he approached the door.

His knuckles rapped against the wood thrice. He stepped back once and crossed his arms. After a moment of listening to somebody, or something fumble around inside, his eyes met with the young blonde woman that had contracted the mission. “Hi! I'm here for t-” Rin began, but he was quickly cut off by the blonde's frantic movements. “Hello! I'm terribly but I'm in a hurry. Make sure that he goes before you bring him back!” the Woman said as she practically threw the dog into his arms. “Wh-.. wait, what?! This isn't a dog!” Rin yelled as the Woman ran off, laughing and waving nervously toward the clearly annoyed male.

Damnit! I finally get something worth taking and I have to walk some fuckin' cat-dog!” Rin grumbled. He grabbed the leash and wrapped it around his right hand, then gave the dog a tug before leading it off. Rin continued to grumble for the entire walk. Every time the dog stopped to smell something and then walked off, he would mumble inaudible slurs and vent his frustration under his breath. He was really looking forward to walking something a bit more.. threatening. All these beta as hell missions were really bringing him down. He was a man! He needed to do manly things, like wrestle a bear into submission! But instead, he was stuck walking this walking ball of glorified pollen around the village.

Rin sighed as the dog took another break to smell around some random object. A bench, wall, rubbish pile, Rin didn't care enough to pay attention. “Could be worse.. Could actually be walkin' a damn cat...” Rin said as he looked toward the Dog, who continued to smell around. “Ornla wux hesjing jalyur?! Si mi zaja di nomeno!” Rin shouted in a very foreign sounding dialect. It sounded like a mixture of very strange hissing, combined with a beast clearing it's throat. Very strange indeed, but it seemed to have done the trick. Whatever Rin said motivated the canine into doing it's business, which Rin happily laughed at. Seemed like his native tongue was rather motivating! He'd have to remember that.

S'bout damn time.” Rin said as he tugged the dog along again. It followed obediently, likely not wanting to be at the receiving end of Rin's next yelling fit. He made sure the dog did its business a few more times before he departed for the mission contractor's home. Rin pulled the leash from the collar of the dog and let it inside, then released a long, drawn out sigh before resting his back against the wall of the house. He glanced over at the same blonde woman from earlier, who seemed to be done with whatever she was doing. “Thank you much for walking my do-” she began, but was interrupted by Rin shaking his head.

No no, no.. Don't thank me.” He pushed himself off the wall and bowed his head very, very slightly toward the woman. Rin didn't let her say another word before he walked off, all the while adjusting the very threatening looking sword on his back. He made it clear that he didn't want to talk about the matter and further, and it seemed that she caught onto his unspoken desire to leave.
