Personality: Kanami is quiet around individuals she doesn't know. She is a silent student in the classroom and tends to daydream often during classes. She is one of the few to have a below average grade in class, which seems overwhelming to teachers, who find her exceptional during physical examinations and missions. On top of that she seems to be very obedient to her elders and likes to do things on her own. She is most of the time, carefree. If she's training, she usually likes to practice on her own as it helps her concentrate.

Likes: She's very fond of spicy delicacies, likes a peaceful atmosphere, and loves being outdoors. She also likes doing things that are direct to the point.

Clan History: The founders of the first hidden village, the Senju clan was one of the strongest clans during the war era before the discovery of the hidden villages. They are the distant relatives of the Uzumaki clan and the Uchiha clan by ancestry. The Senju clan gained their fame in the era before the founding of the hidden villages. Where other clans focused on mastering one particular skill, the Senju were prodigious in all skills, from ninjutsu, to taijutsu, to genjutsu. Because of this, they were known as "the clan with a thousand skills", which gave them their name "Senju" (千手, "a thousand skills", "a thousand hands").



History:
Born to Chisai and Kana Senju, and the great, great, granddaughter of the first hokage, Kanami was the only child. Although her birth place was in Konohagakure, the family moved out of the village when Kanami was 5 years old and into the rural areas of the Fire country, due to Kana's growing weariness of Chisai's constant absences. Chisai Senju was a jounin under the services of the village itself, he refused to move with Kana and Kanami, as it was in his "roots" to better serve the village and help it grow. Kana was convinced he loved his job more than his family, although she understood where his intentions were coming from. She knew convincing him was a waste of effort. Kanami was distraught, finding out that her parents were splitting but her father promised her he would come visit her when he can, help her train, and tell her stories about one of the greatest clan in the ninja world, which inspired her to become like her father.

It was a summer afternoon when Kanami was waiting near a quiet creek, where she always waited for her father's arrival; every last day of the week. But he did not come. And so she waited on, for the next week and the next. But he still did not come. Her mother changed from the weeks on. She ate less and was always home. The family moved back to Konohagakure upon learning of Chisai's death. That summer was a change for the family. Kanami was 6 years old when her father died and even those lonely times didn't stop her from enrolling at the ninja academy.

During the academy years, Kanami was exceptional during physical training and techniques which made her stand out among others but poor in theory based written exams and law, that got even teachers to question her learning abilities.

She admired her father who was skilled at taijutsu and thus sparked her interest upon learning close combat fighting style.
