He is anti social and comes across as sort of an ass hole when spoken to, due to his lack of people skills. He doesnt laugh, nor does he cry, nor does he tend to care for others. He has never known the word love, even his sex seems to be emotionless. Hoewver, this is why he is charming to the ladies he may come across, for they seem to think he's playing hard to get. Likes: Its hard to say Sesshomaru likes anything. He is always traveling and is forced to do things for survival. If there is one love though, it is with using his weapons, though his face will never show that. Dislikes: Once again, Sesshomaru's dislikes are a mystery as well. Not many people see his emotion, therefore it is hard to gauge whether he is pissed off at anything. However, if you have come in contact with his blade, your sure to know he dislikes you... Motivation: This is simple. Sesshomaru is motivated by one thing, to find the secret to why he is so connected to the Netherworld Fears: Sesshomaru has no humanly fears other than the fact that he fears he will never find why he is the way he is. This fear is hardly an open one. He keeps it locked away, and no one would ever know unless... Clan InformationClan name Xanadu Bloodline Name: Meikai no shugo-sha (Guardians of the Netherworld) Bloodline Ability: Members of this clan are half-phantom and half-human. Although this is true, it also caused their Chakra pool to be completely removed from their body and deposited at a mysterious orb-like spirit of varying colour. (Explained in history) The spirit orb can only be seen only by the members of the clan or someone who has seen death happen in front of their eyes. Due to their lack of charka, the body and mind of the members of this clan, works faster and harder to grant them better traits in terms of physical and mental attributes, agility, speed, strength, endurance and et cetra by 3 times. They also have great insight and foresight over many things, have a very high level of concentration. Genin, Chuunin: During this level, they have to concentrate and absorb chakra from their spirit half. This makes it quite troublesome for those who want to be quick on their toes in battle. Although, they can use E~C rank jutsu’s with ease. Sp. Jounin, Jounin, S-rank: During this level, jutsu’s ranging from A~S rank will backfire on the caster if it involves charka but to counter this disability members of the clan are able to merge with their spirit half for only 15 posts. Thus, letting them access Jutsu’s from A~S rank. Note that if the jutsu involves absorbing charka from ones spirit half, it would require two posts for A~S rank unless stated. This can be used once per topic. Below states the weapons that can be carried by the clan members. Note that the swords are passed down from their forefathers (Explained in history). Virtues: Chastity – Increases jutsu damage by two fold. Temperance – Dispels Genjutsu every two posts. Kindness – Heals the user passively but at a small amount. Charity – Has the ability to sap your life in return for an increase in power Diligence – Able to continue a battle after being landed a critical hit Patience – Increased focus, insight, foresight and senses. Humility – Does not feel fear or pain when used. Vice: Lust – Has the ability to sap life from the opponent to heal yourself. Gluttony – Loves to drink blood, the more blood, the more power. Envy – Has the ability to copy the shape and effects of other weapons but its strength is 80% of the original. Greed – The more Ryo one has in hand, the more powerful the weapon Sloth – The being of slowness can have a very slow movement but very high damage output Wrath – Increase all stats by two times but at a cost of your sanity Pride – Being as pride, it does not like other charka except for its owner, thus it will push aside all other charka. Colour to discern the seven members: Red Orange Yellow Green Cyan Blue Purple/Indigo Pink/Violet (Note that each member can have a max of two weapons, one Virtue, one Vice and I’m stating the suggested effects but not the type of each weapon as I want it to be versatile for other members that want to join. Please take a look at the last post after approval as I’ll state who takes which Vice, Virtue and Colour.) Location: Scattered Clan History: Long ago, war broke out. Countless lives lost in the blood stained grounds, bodies rotting, souls left unrest. Scarlet flames swirl in wake, devouring anything in its path. Merciless. Unforgiving. It comes after each battle. It’s fate? To cleanse! It’s desire? To give peace to those who have passed on. In truth the clan was just scattered bits of nomadic people. They have no intension nor relation to what happened to the outside world. They preferred to throw everything not normal to them and live in peace as they travelled from place to place, gaining knowledge on much of the geography of the world, not to mention some well hidden ancient temples, shires and hideouts. They also have wide knowledge over many rumours, myths and legends that held were around at that time. Among every mystery, one of them stood out the most. The legend of the temple of judgement, Tamashī no handan. Although, none of the seven members founding members of the clan went there as of yet, the legend spread like a virus, unrelenting, ever putting people in a trance state of desire. Everyone thought it was salvation and eternal bliss that will be found inside but the clan founders stayed away, fearful that the corruption will get to them. Alas, they couldn’t escape the fate that which the temple already predicted. Soon, all of the ten leaders and their families meet at the temple. The famed mystery of the temple of black and white. One side it was rotting with darkness, malice and sin, the other with pureness, clarity and virtue. Stunning it was but something or someone stood out. A certain elderly caretaker, stood to greet them. Unknowingly, their life has already been changed when they first came to know about the temple. Time passed and each of the founding members changed, their families were told to wait for them far away, at the nearby river they all meet. Soon a ritual started, the caretaker revealed to be an immortal lady named Shikieiki Yamaxanadu, her job to get people to help her judge the living and send souls to their final resting place. She granted each of them a power they will never forget. Separate souls representing seven colours, their hairs having the colours of their respecting souls and weapons each depicting a vice and a virtue. Their gold was simple, to help people leave behind regrets and finally leave the world in peace. Shocked by their predicament, each of them went down the path and the only way to move on was forward but slowly, each member will find themselves ever tied to this path. Unable to run away. “The truth is that peace is always within..” Shikieiki said before the seven founding members left the temple and it will forever stay the same as time goes on for eternity. HistoryHistory: Nina and Ganmaru, Sesshomaru's Parents - Spoiler:
Between this world and the next world, Sesshomaru was born from the Nexus of Xanadu. His mother frail and weak, Sesshomaru was on the verge of death even before he was born. His father, Ganmaru, had known that the day would come when his son and loving wife Nina only a mere civilian, would meet in the living world. However Ganmaru, being a medical ninja expert knew of his wifes condition, and knew that she and his son would not be together for very long in this world.
Ganmaru and Nina hailed from the Hidden Glacier, and because of the harsh culture bestowed there, if they left out to seek help to make sure Sesshomaru could survive his birth, they would never be allowed back. During her pregnancy, Nina began slowly getting weaker by the month. Due to Ganmaru's expertise, he was able to use his medical skill to keep her to atleast minimal health throughout her duration. This didn't come cheap. He began having to steal medical supplies he could not afford to help along the process. He did this so that he didnt have to use missions and be away from Nina any longer than he had to be. His luck was running short, for the medical supplies grew heavier as the term of her pregancancy drew on. This would lead to the decision of a life time..
Only three weeks before the birth of Sesshomaru, Ganmaru was out trying to buy eating supplies. He had heard a rumor from a traveler, of a Nexus that was built somewhere in a foreign land, Shippuugakure to be exact. Ganmaru listened intently and took in all of this information. Using his savvy, Ganmaru believed that he could save both his wife and his son, if he took them there to give birth. However, he left out one important detail, that of the equivalent exchange. Immediately Ganmaru packed his things and Nina, and the left the Glacier, banned there for the rest of their lives.....little did they know, their lives would be over before they knew it....
Under the Crescent Moon, Birth of Sesshomaru - Spoiler:
After the Harsh travel across many countries, and a treacherous ocean, Ganmaru and Nina found themselves on the island of Shippuugakure. They quickly made refuge there, Nina staying at the inn while Ganmaru collected much information on the Nexus, and searching the island for its marvel. For two weeks, Ganmaru searched, and finally he found the Nexus. It was only after he found this place, that he would bring Nina here, and here she would give birth.
With all his medical supplies and his struggling wife, Ganmaru took Nina inside the Nexus of Xanadu and placed her on the center pillar, then with a few medicines, inducing her labor. As the labor began, Nina struggled to push through and Ganmaru was forced to use all of his chakra to keep her strong enough to do so. Many hours passed, and Ganmaru began running out of chakra, still Nina was not finished with her labor, and Sesshomaru wasnt even breached. Soon Nina began to lose her own conciousness.
It was at that moment that a mysterious man appeared before both Ganmaru and Nina. He was the king of the Netherworld, and he was there to grant this couple their wish, this was the reason Ganmaru brought Nina here in the first place. "What is your wish??", the Netherworld King replied. Ganmaru, speaking as a proud man stated simply, "I wish to see my wife give birth to my son, without the loss of her own life...she cannot withstand the agony of this pregnancy much further..". The King simply replied this. "What is your price? I must have an exchange for this request. This is the way of the Xanadu, and Equivalent Exchange."
Ganmaru, tired and sweaty, widened his eyes at such a horrible miscalculation. His heart desired to see his son, but he knew that in order to keep his wife alive, he would have to give his life to see to it that his son would live. "I....I WISH TO TAKE MY LIFE!!!" Ganmaru yelled as tears of pain ran down his face. The King nodded simply, not effected by his cries and granted his wish. "I will allow you to see your son, immediately after that, your soul will be coming with me." A teary eyed Ganmaru watched as Nina regained her conciousness and the King left.
From there, Ganmaru pushed Nina through her labor, and giving birth to Sesshomaru. However, another thing with horribly wrong, and Sesshomaru was dead upon the birth.`This would cause another life altering decision, for Nina and Ganmaru. As the King returned, he came to collect Ganmaru's soul. Ganmaru looke to Nina, and explained to her his deal with the man. Nina, crying now herself, and knowing she would never see her husband nor have the pleasure of a son, made another wish to the man, wishing a wish of her own. "I wish for my life to be taken, and for my son to live...." The king granted this wish, taking the life of Nina and forfeiting it for the life of Sesshomaru.
Through these chains of wishes, Sesshomaru was revived, and through an odd circumstance of equivalent exchange, was bestowed a crescent moon on his forehead and two slash marks across each side of his face. His hair turned white and his eyes yellow. The King exclaimed to the parents, "For your sacrifice, I have given this boy my life energy as well as some of yours. He will live the rest of his life as a Xanadu. I will send him somewhere safe, butas for the two of you, you must come with me..." With those final words, the body of both Nina and Ganmaru fell, their souls forged with the Netherworld. They watched and said a final good bye as\nd watched their son lay alone in the Nexus, hoping he would be sent to a great place.
Childhood - Spoiler:
Sesshomaru, who was sent to the Heat Country, was found laying n front of an orphanage at the Village Hidden in the Storm. It is here where his story begins. Growing up, Sesshomaru was always being teased by his white hair and early age tattoos. However, Sesshomaru was the quiet type, never letting those words eat him up. Life in Boufuu didnt really satisfy Sesshomaru, een at an early age, but the one thing that did was the level of combat skills that bestowed this proud nation.
Upon this, at the age of 10, Sesshomaru decided to enroll in the academy of Boufuugakure, but not to learn to be a ninja persay, but to learn the art of battle skills. Ninjutsu never really sat well with Sesshomaru, however, the Kenjutsu style was a calling to him, and he worked effortlessly to attain that high level of Kenjutsu that only mere mortals dreamed of. His skill caught the attention of many high ranking ninja around the village and with this, Sesshomaru was given a chance to take the Chuunin Exams two years later, to see if his single skill was enough to thrust him into the ranks of sp. Jounin or even jounin. What they didnt expect was that his lack of emotion would leave the well known favorite, dead on the floor.
Chuunin Exams - Spoiler:
On the day of the chuunin exams, many things were on the line. Clan pride, rank, and the future of many genin who were so aspired to make it to chuunin. The exams went through farely well, as Sesshomaru made it to the finals using little effort. Though he showed remarkable skill, the other genin still had no respect for him, still teasing him and calling him names, trying to break the youngster. The silent anger that Sesshomaru held in for so long festered in him, would be demonstrated on his opponent in the finals, The then Kanetsukage's son, Yokihama.
Sesshomaru took on his opponent in the finals, the match a brutal one. Yokihama was the pride of Boufuugakure and even more so, was predicted to make jounin due to his skill, but Sesshomaru's skill would prove to be just as efficient. The cunning Sesshomaru would never allow that dream to even happen. During this incredible display of a finals, Yokihama had made an error on a move towards Sesshomaru, and Sesshomaru, wanting to make an example out of the opponent, beheaded him right in the center of the ring, killing the boy and shattering the dreams of those watching, and even the young boy in which he killed. With this move, outrage spread across the arena...Sesshomaru, was immediately detained by ANBU.
The Decision - Spoiler:
While detained, The Tanetsukage, tried his best not to kill the still emotionless Sesshomaru, who had apparently not felt te remorse for killing another, due to his lonely upbringing. The Kanetsukage, knowing that these things happened in exams, still couldnt put away the fact that his son was killed. Though angry, the Kanetsukage did somehow showed restraint to Sesshomaru, and gave him the altimatum. "You will leave here now, and I wont put a bounty on your head for what you have done here today...I will spare your life, but curse you to forever remain a wanderer!!"
Sesshomaru would be shown the way out of Boufuugakure, still at the tender age of 12, no longer a child but not yet a man. He looked one last time into the eyes of the Tanetsukage, and then turned and walked away into the storm, the rains dropping over him as if the heavens were crying for his actions upon Yokihama...
Where Sesshomaru is now?? - Spoiler:
Now at the age of 19, Sesshomaru is still a wanderer. He has never been able to call anywhere home, for he always seems to wear out his welcome across any village he stays due to his expressionless face and non shalont attitude. He has learned the many arts of survival through his travels, and his sword skill has helped him put away any who dare try and rob him. Sesshomaru through the seven years of banishment, has heard of many rumors of the Netherworld. Everytime these words are spoken, he feels an undeniable connection to the word. A connection that goes beyond any human connection, for as his very soul fights him as the words are mentioned. He now travels aimlessly, searching for the answer to this mystery, for who is he and why is he so different??
RP Sample: -Sesshomaru walks silently through the open field, gazed down upon my the half moon. His glowing white hair shimmers of silver against its rays as he makes his way to an unknown destination. His eyes are almost shut as he wanders, as if he were contemplating many thoughts with which bothered him, or was it that he was meditating while walking? None the less, Sesshomaru can indeed see the path ahead, as he does have a slight glimmer of yellow beading from his tightly narrowed glance.- -As he travels, his weapons kling to his side, as if they were loyal pets, and his furry sash flutters aimlessly as he creates the natural breeze with his ever passing step. A true mystery this man, as he walks, but wha are his intentions? He is searching for only one thing, and anything in his way to stop this would surely fall by the blinding speed of his blade, and the sound of steel to flesh. He will soon be arriving at his desired destination, not delayed for he has no ties to anyone nor does he desire to, he simply travels....- |
