To continue this discussion from PM, first I would like to thank you for posting this discussion so it can be resolved publically with the opportunities of several opinions. However. This is the wrong section for this type of thread: I will be moving this discussion to the "Support" area, which is intended for questions, discussion, suggestions & concerns.
I told you no in the PM reply, now I will elaborate on the reasons as to why I said no.

Narutoverse: Being that this is a Naruto RP forum, the usual and most plausible stays within the realm of the Narutoverse. Sometimes outside sources are brought into it and have to be questioned as far as plausibility and whether it would be accepted as "normal" or not. To my knowledge, there is no Astral Projection, nor mention of it in Naruto. There are some cases(Such as in one of the movies) where one of the villains uses a form of visual projection to communicate with people. To note- Astral Projection resides on the Astral Plane and isn't viewable, nor hearable by everyone- so no, the ability that this villain used was not Astral Projection.
Uncommon: The concept of Astral Projection itself isn't that uncommon at all, especially for those who practice meditation. I'm not saying I disbelieve in it, but it is
not something everyone knows. They have to be
taught it through meditation and experience. You cannot just take a concept and apply it to a forum without first considering the "pros" & "Cons" as well as the validity.
Systems: Being that we are a Naruto RP forum with systems in place to allow one to attain certain stats & attributes. We cannot just allow someone to benefit from something such as Astral Projection without it being a clan ability. Much like the systems we have, especially the Specialization system- this allows individuals to use different abilities depending on their aptitude in the specified traits. An example of this would be Ninjutsu- this allows them to embody their chakra into tangible form. Without Ninjutsu, someone cannot use elemental jutsu, not pure chakra techniques. The exception to this would be Kenjutsu where the sword is the medium instead of hand seals.
Astral Projection is a beneficial skill by a playable character, it is a skill not everyone knows or can learn, especially easily. It is a difficult skill. It does not fit within the systems as a Specialization, more appropriately, it would be more plausible and regulated to an approved extent as a clan with the unique ability to use Astral Projection. Personally, I will not allow you to use such a thing without it being plausibly within your character's IC traits/abilities. You do not possess these such things however and I wouldn't agree to letting you have Astral Projection on a whim just because you might be able to do it IRL. RL & Narutoverse are different, more so here because we have rules and systems in place to keep balance. If we allowed you as (non-astral projection ) clan to use the ability of Astral Projection, we would be opening it up to everyone. How do you feel about everyone on the site using Astral Projection just because it's plausible? There would be so much metagaming and misuse of such a trait. Make it a clan ability, that is my final say on it. If someone else has some insight to provide, please do.
