Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

Today was the day Meiyo would begin to walk on his own chosen path. He had said farewell to his loving and caring parents and now was on his own. They said they had taught him all he needed to know and that he needed to learn more from others if he wanted to. For that, he’d have to live in the village and become one of them. If he wished to continue walking on his path then the real route for him was to become a shinobi of Shipuugakure. The first thing though was getting through the gates. Meiyo was a young and extremely shy kid, he walked through the village gates accompanied by his gigantic Xanadu weapon. Even though he was young, he had an impressive height himself; however, his weapon towered a staggering 1 feet higher than him. He was a new face and more ever with a dangerous looking thing, so he was stopped by the shinobi at the gate.

”Hey you! where do you think you’re going? What purpose do you have to visit our village and what is that you’re carrying?”, the shinobi on guard duty didn’t waste time. He wasn’t to blame though, at first Meiyo did look pretty shady and suspicious. Meiyo shivered and hid his face, he was facing a stranger, ”Gomen na sai..”. He stuttered those words out and bowed in a formal stance. ”Now now, no need to apologize, just answer our questions”, the shinobi wasn’t rude at all, he was just being doing his duty. From Meiyo’s perspective though, this man was scary, hence he didn’t know what to do. ”Yes sir, Gomen na sai”, the boy really was confused and didn’t know what to say. The shinobi was manning a counter at the village gate, so he walked towards Meiyo to inspect him. As he did, Meiyo rushed and hid behind the counter where the shinobi was just a moment ago.

The boy really was ashamed and embarrassed, this presented quite a difficult situation for the shinobi. Not to mention the others watching found the spectacle quite entertaining and amusing. ”Hey, you can’t just go there, come back here”, the shinobi rushed back to his position. As the shinobi got back to his position, Meiyo changed his to the other side of the counter, hence hiding once again. ”Gomen na sai, Gomen na sai” those were the only words Meiyo could muster. It was actually becoming quite a fuss by now, even the on lookers were stopping to watch the spectacle.

”Listen kid, would you stop moving and apologizing and just answer my questions already. You’re making this pretty difficult for me”, the shinobi was pretty annoyed by now. It looked like a child playing tag with the shinobi and he was winning at it too. ”I.. I’m Meiyo, I… I wanna be a shinobi” finally he gathered a whole lot of courage and answered the man. The shinobi breathed a sigh of relief, finally he was getting some information at least. Though one of his most important questions remained unanswered, what was that gigantic scythe like thing the child was carrying?

Among the guarding shinobi, there were Anbu that were assigned by the kage. The anbu reported directly and only to the kage. Upon witnessing the scene, the anbu had rushed to the kage building to inform him of this new arrival. This didn’t seem like a normal scene and it was his duty to inform the village leader of such scenarios.

Saizo looked up from his desk to see an Anbu outside his window. Too bad for the Anbu, the window was locked, so instead, he knocked on the window. Saizo rolled his eyes "Doesn't anyone use doors anymore" ninja and stuff, always having to parkour their way around. Sai got up opened the window and stuck his head out. "What's the hurry?", the Anbu leaned towards Saizo and whispered into his ear, more out of habit than necessity. "Eh? That's it?" Saizo said, a bit annoyed. "Fine, I'll take care of it." he said to the Anbu before taking off, but unlike the Anbu, Saizo opted to use the door, instead. That was what doors were made for after all. Honestly, though. What is the point of having guards stationed at the entrances if he has to go up there himself. Sure, he decided he would come on his own accord, but it was still so tiring. The work of kage was so bothersome. How did he get talked into this job in the first place? Regardless, it was too late to quit now.

Saizo showed up on the scene, weapon on hand ,er, back. He didn't believe he would need it, but it never hurts to be a little careful. See, even children could be mass murderers in this day and age. It's a tad sad, really. Was being a ninja really all that? the actual amount of romantic adventuring Sai had really done was actually quite little. It was too bad ninja were still necessary for this whole warring period and what not. "So you're the one causing all the commotion, eh?"

Sai had arrived and looked the boy up and down. "I see how you drew some attention." referring to the giant scythe on the kids back. Not something you see a kid carrying everyday. He wasn't normal, but not many people were. "So what brings you here?" he said, looking down at the boy, not condescendingly, though. No, he just wanted to see the young mans response. What kind of person was this boy? At first glance, he didn't seem all that menacing. But that weapon...

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

Finally Meiyo mustered up enough courage to give only the vital information to the shinobi. After that he was told to ‘behave’ and sit in the corner, while two shinobi kept an eye on him. By the time the Umikage arrived, the young boy was sitting with his head down and ‘behaving’. The new stranger’s voice startled him and in a sudden motion he was once again hiding behind the desk. The same desk he was told he wasn’t allowed to go behind. The shinobi on guard duty had gotten used to it. Upon the arrival of the kage, every shinobi bowed formally greeting the village leader. The only clueless shinobi was Meiyo, who had attempted to hide. His attempt wasn’t exactly fruitful since his gigantic weapon was still with him and it’s not easy to hide a 6 feet and a half sized scythe.

”What are you doing boy? That’s the Umikage, greet him properly”, the shinobi from before reminded him once again of his behavior. ”Gomen na sai angry guard shinobi-san, Gomen na sai kage-sama” said Meiyo while he continued to hide behind the desk. By now these guard shinobi were almost acquaintances, so he was more used to them then the new arrival: the kage. ”Gomen na sai for causing the commotion too Umikage-sama and Gomen na sai for drawing attention too, Umikage-sama”, well he was pretty much clueless what to say. This was the first time he had separated from his parents, even though there was nothing wrong with his upbringing, this was just his nature.

”It appears he has a habit of apologizing a bit too much, sir. Answer the kage’s question, will you?”the angry shinobi from before once again pushed him in the right direction. ”I.. I’m Meiyo Xanadu and I want to become a shinobi of this village”finally he was able to reveal the most vital piece of information about himself. So far, the shinobi had been able to inquire what his name was and what he wanted. They were still unable to find out about the weapon on his back and they didn’t knew he was a Xanadu either. Those who knew about the Xanadu, also knew about the legendary weapons that each Xanadu had with them. A few veteran shinobi and the anbu that lingered in the shadows now figured what the weapon on his back was.

The good thing was that he was able to answer the kage’s question, the bad thing was that he was still hiding behind the desk. The guard tried to pull him away from the table but that didn’t work since he was holding on to it with all his might. It was like he was a bubble gum stick to it, the more the guard pulled the less it worked. After a few attempts of viciously trying to pull him away from the table the guard just gave up. He was already tired of dealing with this shy kid who had a habit of hiding from strangers. Until now, he hadn’t made eye contact with anyone. When Meiyo was pushed away from the table before he just kept looking down and tried to hide his face with his hands or his sleeves.

(OOC: Sorry, its a busy week and not feeling so inspired)
Well, he was a wimpy one. Saizo would have never guessed off appearence alone. Of course, the weapon kind of prevented him from doing so. To call him wimpy was rude, though. It also wasn't an accurate description of Saizo's impression of the young Xanadu. Saizo didn't much care about bowing or any of those formalities and simply signaled the guards. The young man was a foreigner anyways. Saizo didn't expect to be recognized by him and even if he had been, Saizo held no power over the boy, not at the time, anyways. Still, Saizo found him funny. He'd only been there for a short bit and he'd already heard the boy apologize 4 times. That was more times in these few minutes than he's heard from some ninja in years.

"I'll keep that in mind. You can just leave him to me now." Sai said to the guard, allowing him to go back to watching the gates, though this was likely to have been the most excitement he'd have all day. "So you want to become a shinobi, eh? Not only that, but you're one of them Xanadu. Well, you make it hard to say no." Saizo had met a Xanadu before, but he'd never really witnessed one in action. He assumed they were strong, but he couldn't be quite sure. Perhaps he should ask for a little spar. No, seemed to soon in their relationship for something like that. Maybe some other time. Still, he wondered why he wanted to become a shinobi in Shippuu. Was his former village not good enough, or perhaps he didn't come from a village. It seemed rather strange. He seemed like a capable fighter at least, though that may have been Saizo's admiration for big weapons making that assumption. "So why is it that you want to become a ninja of my village."

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

In accordance to the order of the kage, the guards began to return to their respective posts. So that meant Meiyo would be left behind with this new stranger, the outcome of that was obvious. He clinged to the leg of the guard, ”Nooo, don’t go, don’t leave me alone”. Once again, the others stopped to look at this new spectacle. ”Let go, the Umikage is here, you’re not alone. I have to go back to my post now kid”, struggling the guard began to drag the kid along with his leg. ”Gomen na sai, don’t go. Pretty pwease.. !!!” he was a child after all and a child that wasn’t comfortable around strangers. ”You’re not making this easy on me kid, oh look! A cat!” the guard pointed at a random direction and shouted. It must be lady luck that smiled on him because Meiyo just loved cats, ”Neko-san? Where where?” he let go of the guard’s leg and looked in the direction. The guard took advantage of this situation and disappeared while Meiyo was still searching for the cat.

When he realized that there was no cat and he had been played, upon turning around he also realized that now he was left ‘alone’ with the Umikage. Having no other place to hide, he once again crawled back to the table and hid behind it. ”Gomen na sai, Mama-san said that it shouldn’t be difficult for me to be accepted as a shinobi.”, he peeked out of the edge of the table and replied. Xanadu were a scattered clan and were considered as valuable assets by some. His parents had been shinobi in their early days, so they knew what being a Xanadu meant. After teaching him jutsu equivalent to those of a genin, they left him here. Meiyo had chosen to depart from them but they knew it wouldn’t be easy for him, so once he should be able to convince others by his skills.

”Papa-san said that I should become a part of this village because I can use Fuuton, there should be more shinobi here who can do that. I can learn from them more, Gomen na sai”, a village with the name of Hidden Hurricane was bound to have more wind users. That and this was also the next village on their path, since Meiyo kept bugging them about leaving they had given in to his demands here. They had thought it through but it was also just a coincidence as well.

Saizo just kind of stared as the scene unfolded. To think the young man had grown so attached to the guard in such a short amount time. He didn't think the village guards were overly friendly. In fact, the more intimidating the better. He didn't want any slackers posted at the gates just letting in anyone. But if they were the friendly ones then what did that make Sai. Saizo didn't think he was such a scary guy. Was it the red eyes that threw the boy off? He could easily change his eye colour for a bit if it would make this any easier. "Well, it's usually not that easy. We usually don't just let anyone who comes of the street holding a weapon to become a ninja for the village. What makes you think I can just entrust with you the safety of all these villager.", Saizo said, staring at the boy hiding behind the desk. It was hard to have confidence in someone who doesn't seem to have confidence in himself. He was still young, though. He had time to better himself and perhaps that is why he was left here by himself. It could have all been in order to help boost his confidence.

Sighs wanted to respect the wish of the Xanadu. They were a special kind of nomads. Not the kind he wanted to be on the bad side of. "Like I said, there are many rules and regulations, but perhaps we can make a small exception." Sai's lips started curling into a smile. "As far as people who can help you learn Fuuton, you'll have to figure that out on your own," Sure this was hurricane city, but you could technically find a shinobi capable of fuuton in any major village. To be labeled as the wind specialist village wasn't really to Saizo's liking. He, himself was quite proficient in the chakra nature, but he didn't want to be labeled like such. He enjoyed variety. To be forced into any specific role would be disheartening. To be forced to be a slave or a pirate or a slum dweller. It was disgusting. But enough of that. See, now he was just starting to ramble off nonsensical words and ideology, all of which had little to do with the village's new recruit."So, Meiyo, if I may call you that, you don't happen to have a place to stay while here, do you?

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

Meiyo was always a shy person, even though he had a cute face and a tall body he was always clingy to his parents. Before his arrival in the village, they were always travelling so he came upon many strangers and his reaction was always the same. The way he was behaving with the Umikage and the guards from before, that was just classic Meiyo. This was nothing as compared to how shy he was when he came across someone of the opposite gender. Despite his nature, he wasn’t one to step back when it was time to prove himself. He was aware that when he would ask to join the village, it wouldn’t be easy and there would come a time where he would have to prove himself. Right now, he was before the leader and protector of this village: the Umikage. If he was going to prove himself, this was the right time and the right place to do so.

”The first step is always the hardest my son” the words of his father echoed in his mind and he mustered the courage that was needed at the moment. He closed his eyes and appeared from behind the table, standing now in front of the kage. ”Gomen na sai, I’m not just someone carrying a weapon. I can prove myself to be worthy of your trust, even without lust-san or diligence-san”, his eyes were closed and his head was bowed but his feelings were depicted with his words. He was told that he was natural at molding chakra and using jutsus. At his current level, he was as capable as a village genin would be, some said he was capable of even more. He wasn’t one to brag about it but he was sure that what he had learned from his parents would help him. More than trusting his own abilities, he trusted the feelings and teaching of his family.

”Arigatou for making an exception for me, Umikage-sama but I’m sorry, I can’t accept such a favor”, he bowed as much as he could. As he bowed, his large scythe tied on his back went straight down along with him, from his current distance it would miss only an inch by the kage’s head. ”Please! Allow me to prove myself, Umikage-sama” he said as loud as he could. His voice was heard by all those who were around him, even the guard from before. Finally the shy kid was talking normally and now had requested the kage for what he had come here to do.

”If after that, you consider me worthy then I also don’t have a place to live either” replied Meiyo as he stood. Once again the scythe moved along with him and yet again it only missed the kage’s head my only an inch. The scythe was large, actually gigantic but it was light and so it was very easy for Meiyo to lift and move around with.

He had no intention of fighting, despite being a shinobi he never liked it. If the kage however, thought that the only way to test his skills is through a spar than he would have no other choice but to do what he disliked. He wanted to become a shinobi of this village and if a spar is what it would take than he would do it. Maybe he’ll make a fuss about it later and complain about it as much as he can but at the moment, he would do it without another word.

PostSubject: Re: The Shy Xanadu[Meiyo,Saizo]   The Shy Xanadu[Meiyo,Saizo] EmptyWed Dec 24, 2014 8:00 am

The kid was starting to grow on Saizo. He wasn't as much of a wuss as Saizo initially thought. In fact, he found the Xanadu's response as quite respectable and the fact that he didn't want to take the easy route made him that much more desirable. Of course, sometimes the easy way out was the best way out, but never mind that right now. This wasn't one of those times. He'd let the scythe nearly miss him both times. Most physical weapons hardly made him flinch and for good reason. It wasn't uncommon to find yourself facing the end of someone elses weapon with this job. It also allowed him a nice view of just how sharp the blade was. "Well, if you wanna prove yourself, then that's just fine." Saizo said as he started turning away from the village gates.

Where to go, where to go. He couldn't really hold said trial at the gates. It would be rather disruptive and inappropriate to do so. The ideal location would be the beaches, but the last time he went there with another ninja, the beach barely survived the relentless onslaught. The woods seemed like a fine place, though. They'd be able to avoid getting anyone caught up in their little game. "Let's go somewhere less crowded." he said, as he started walking towards a small segment of the village towards the forest, presuming that Meiyo would follow him. There was lots to see in the Hidden Hurricane. The beautiful beaches, wonderful food, abundant wildlife, but a few of Shippuu's attractions. Then again, most of the major villages were quite nice and shared their own culture along with their own ups and downs.

Now, Saizo wasn't going to make Meiyo spar him. He believed Meiyo was strong already. There was nothing for him to prove in any sort of spar. This would have to focus on something other than just his physical capabilities, but what to do. He had several ideas in mind, but as far as which would be most effective for showing Saizo what he wanted to see, he was clueless. Perhaps a little game of keep away. Something nonviolent, yet testing both physical and, if done correctly, mental strength. This was still subject to change, but it was an idea. Anything except simple sparring. Honestly, in a spar, Saizo probably wouldn't be able to help himself from playing around with the boy (In a non-weird way). Then Saizo could focus on finding the boy a place to stay. Sighs already had full faith that Meiyo would pass the test, this didn't mean Saizo would go easy on him, but after that display at the gates, if he just stayed on the same course, Saizo saw no way that he could fail. "So is there anything interesting that you can tell me about the famous Xanadu? Perhaps any sort of specific or immediate mission right now?"

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

Was it in the spur of the moment or was it because he was getting special treatment that he had spoken out ? He had little clue about the matter but it just happened. After saying what he did, he realized the words that he had spoken. ”eeeekkk… what if the Kage spars with me? I don’t like fighting no, I won’t .. na uh, I can’t..” the war in his mind had now begun to wage. Was he right to say what he did? He could have said something else, he could have even taken the offer that was presented to him. ”I could make a cute puppy face and ask him to give me that again.. But, it’s too late and I looked so cool when I said that. I can’t take it back, no no no, I can’t” he shook his head as the Kage turned away and began to walk. Thinking that he had already done a cool thing for once, he decided to stick with his words. His reason for doing what he was about to do was childish but it wasn’t the reasons but the actions that made him who he was.

As the two walked, Meiyo sticked closer to Saizo, he didn’t like being alone and if he strayed then he would end up alone since it was only the two of them. ”Somewhere less crowded? Oh no.. he’s thinking about it. He’s definitely thinking about it, ohh what have I done!!” he began to sweat as he nodded and followed him. His head was bowed and his eyes traced only the ground that he would put his next step on. ”what am I gonna do? He’s gonna ask me to spar with him. I don’t like it, no! And I said I won’t even use Lust-san or diligence-san, what am I gonna do!!! Mama-san, Papa-san what should I do?” with each step he questioned his confidence in himself. ”Meiyo..” a voice echoed in his mind, someone was calling for him. ”Who.. who is it? “ he looked around but there was no one there besides him and the kage.

”Meiyo..” the voice was warm and loving, it was the voice of his mother. ”Why do you wanna become a shinobi?” it was a flashback, his mother had asked this question when he had first expressed he wanted to become a shinobi. To that question, he had replied: ”Because it will make me happy” to that she smiled and roughed up his hair, ”Then that’s what makes me happy too but you must become a good shinobi, okay?”. He had smiled and nodded as he hugged his mother tightly, patting his head she had made him a promise: ”And remember, wherever you go, Mama-san will always be rooting for you. Always remember that Meiyo”. He could still hear the voice of his mother, chanting and cheering for him: ”Gambare Meiyo!!”.

Meiyo returned from his flash back just in time for when Saizo inquired about an interesting thing about the Xanadu, a mission or something of the sort. ”Umm, Papa-san said that we’re descendants of one of the founders, that’s why I have lust-san and diligence-san”, he paused after that sentence. After thinking about it, he realized that was the only thing he knew about his clan’s history,”That’s all I know about the Xanadu. What kind of mission?”. Meiyo didn’t know what did he mean by a specific or immediate mission.

"Hmm, guess I was expecting a bit too much. Just ignore it, I was only trying to find something to wonder about." Still, he had two of those special weapons on his person. That meant he was important, didn't it? He didn't know too much about the Xanadu, but he was able to tell that those weapons weren't normal and not each of them carried a pair. Even the names were strange, such as Lust and such. Oh well. Im sure he'd have more than enough time to figure all of these things out later. He shouldn't be making fun of other people's weapon names. After all, his own weapon was named, not by him, but by... now that he thought about it, he didn't actually know. In fact, he knew little about his swords history. He only knew it was a famous sword and that it had powers way beyond that of normal weaponry. He had been lucky in finding it, yet he was so ignorant that he didn't know of its history till someone pointed it out. Of course, Saizo was far younger at the time, but even know, he made little to no effort in finding out about the sword. Maybe it was because it had been with him for so long that he felt he knew it well enough as it is.

You know, after he was done here, maybe he would hit the books and try and get a better understanding of his own weapons. Or maybe he'd go laze around while attempting to do paperwork. Yea, it was more likely to be the latter. It was a nice thought, though. Sighs was getting way too ahead of himself now. He still needed to give Meiyo some sort of test, not like he really needed one, but he asked for it, so who was Saizo to reject his plea. Thus, just about arriving to an open spot in the forest where they would have an interruption-free time, he bent over and picked up what looked like the smoothest pebble Saizo had ever laid eyes on. Yes, it was extremely cliche, and usually demonstrated as impossible, but he was going to perform the good old pebble trial with the new guy.

Standing in the middle of the clearing, Saizo would turn to Meiyo, one of his hands outstretched with the pebble sitting right in the middle of his palm. "Alright, so you may be familiar with this fun little game. All you have to do is snatch the pebble from my hand. You may use any method you want or any jutsu you know. And if you want, I'll even let you use your Xanadu hand me downs. The choice is all yours." Sure, it was cliche, but it was very effective at testing without all the need for violence. Unless Meiyo desired to use violence, then Saizo would just have to take it, but it was far less worrisome than having Saizo somehow injuring Meiyo, thats how lawsuits are formed. "I'll let you start whenever you're ready."

Meiyo Xanadu ;;Genin ;;Shipuugakure ;; Male

”Expecting too much? Saizo-sama is a complex person. I don’t understand him much but he seems like a nice kage” thought Meiyo as he nodded his head and followed him. Gradually he was becoming more used to his presence and the image of a stranger was almost out the door. That changed quite a few things but didn’t change the fact that Meiyo would still be shy around him. Being just shy and being shy around strangers were two completely different things when it came to Meiyo’s standards. So far, his impression of the kage was a nice and serious person. He was told that the one who held the title of a kage meant that the person was the strongest in the village. He had only wondered about what kind of shinobi would be kage and as luck would have it, this shinobi leading the way was one.

There was this sword on the kage, at first Meiyo thought he was a Xanadu too but since he didn’t say so, he believed that he wasn’t. Being a Xanadu, it was in his nature to notice weapons and the little details about them. The sword that Saizo was carrying didn’t seem like a normal one. Obviously he had no grounds to think like that but it just had that feeling. The feeling that said: ”I’m no normal sword”.

Despite his earlier conviction, he couldn’t help but remain nervous about what was to come. So far, little words had been spoken among the two and that made him even more nervous. People who are stronger than the average shinobi tend to be pretty ruthless to the weak. What if the kage was a sweet and kind person only on the outside but in the test he was mean and cruel. There was no possible way that Meiyo could hold a candle to a kage’s powers at his current level. Even with the help of both his weapons, winning wasn’t an option; even survival was questionable. However, he kept on walking without uttering a single word as they finally arrived at a clearing.

As Saizo turned and extended his hand, Meiyo was startled and stepped back a little. Then his gaze caught on to the small pebble in the middle of the kage’s palm. After his explanation, Meiyo stared at the pebble and then looked at the Kage’s face. His eyes circulated between the pebble and the face of Saizo, a few times. ”A test of speed? No, a test of ninjutsu maybe? No.. Whatever I try, it isn’t possible for me to do it. He must be too speedy for me to catch and he has to be way stronger for me to take down. I don’t understand..”. Having no experience as a shinobi, he was baffled about this test. He knew his capabilities well and he knew that the difference between his and the kage’s strength was immeasurable. Obviously, the kage was well aware of that fact then why did he propose such a test?

”I don’t understand but there’s no going back now”, thought Meiyo as he stepped back even further. ”Mama-san told me not to take off diligence-san but he doesn’t do anything. Papa-san said if I’m fighting I should keep Lust-san close but this is a game, right?” said Meiyo as he took off Lust from his back and placed it next to a rock. ”Umikage-sama, I will stay true to my word. I won’t use Lust-san and Diligence-san and I will prove myself to you” said Meiyo bowing to the kage. Lust still wrapped in the bandages was placed carefully next to a rock. His armor was inside his clothes but it would only activate in case of a critical blow, which wasn’t likely to happen in this scenario.

”I have no choice but to take the offensive. Might as well try it twice as hard then”, thought Meiyo as he made the hand seals to make a shadow clone. ”Here I come, Saizo-sama” he said as the clone appeared. Meiyo rotated with his leg dragged around the ground to raise bit of a dust cloud, his clone did the same. After making a bit of a dust cloud, both his clone and he moved around in circles and both departed different ways. One heading to the left of Saizo, the other to the right of him. This was done to make it a tad bit difficult on Saizo to differentiate the clone from the real one. There was also another reason, there wasn’t just one clone, there were actually two of them. Meiyo’s movements were also to conceal the third clone digging into the earth. So while Meiyo and one of his clones moved from the left and right respectively, the third clone headed for the kage from underneath.
