Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Galon, Jabriel Tellme11

Personality: Jabriel is quite the distinctive character. Overall he’s more good than evil, wishing the world would one day become a peaceful place. When describing him, it’s safe to assume he is a misunderstood person, but at the same time doesn’t want to be fully understood.  At times he hears another voice inside of him, the voice was different than his, thus made him question if it was his conscience. Furthermore, Jabriel had blackouts and would wake up oblivious of them. The voices started off as a faint whisper, but over time increased to a regular tone. It made him feel like he was slowly turning into a psycho, so he sought out help. The “help” told him it was his imagination and to simply ignore it.

Adaptive.  This nature may be perhaps the most obvious of his personality. The time it takes for him to get accustomed to almost any given situation is uncommonly quick. The types of situations could be physically, socially, mentally, and etc. Even with things that would strike him as something new, it would take him a few minutes to deduct whatever is necessary to get a better understanding of how he should react.

Brave.  Despite of his slim stature, he is either extremely courageous or really driven by ambition. No matter the obstacle, Jabriel will try his best to successfully complete it, if of course he sees it as necessary in the first place. In combat, even if he is severely beaten, his willpower would keep him fighting until he has passed his limit of continuing. Death is simply not feared by this man, he will go above and beyond to protect anything he believes is worthy of protecting regardless of how small or big.

Calm.  Jabriel would probably be the only guy on his team who is not so crazy, or goofy, or even dumb, or just plain old gullible. Jabriel was the person that would often be suggested to be team leader, but yet would never accept the job as he didn't want to take on the responsibility to lead. He would like to guide others on a path of goodness, to be a role model, to be a great warrior someday, however his real goal was to eventually become a Hero. His calm minded attitude is what will help him with his goal.

Cynical.  In his perception of the world, it is all based on who can gain the most. He sternly believes that most people only strive to gain more power, recognition, and/or wealth, instead of lending a helping hand to a struggling neighbor. However, Jabriel does believe that a small few selfless people exist within the world, but looks at them as if they are a dying breed. Ironically, Jabriel's selfless nature died after his death in the human world.

Deceitful.  Jabriel will lead you astray if given the opportunity. Sometimes he deceives people for the sake of his own satisfaction. It is also used to gain information from people who weren’t willing to give it up initially. It could be said that with his deceitful nature comes a manipulative nature as well. He is pretty clever with how he put his intentions into motion. For some strange reason, he really enjoys when a person doesn’t know whether he’s lying or not. Sometimes he shrouds his emotions with the complete opposite emotion, for example he could be raging inside but appear completely calm with a smile on his face.
In battle, he will use deceitful methods to gain an advantage. This works well with his fighting style, seeing as his primary fighting style is “wild” compared to others. Most of the time he tries to get his opponent to underestimate him, which typically works out well. However if it is clear to him that the opponent is stronger than him in some area, he’ll take the fight serious and just try to trick his opponent by the blows he throw.
He is only completely honest to those he trust. People who he could consider as friends or family, which isn’t a lot of people.

Insensitive. While he is aware of the feelings of others, he simply cares little to none about them, unless that person is within his circle. He has no problem with helping others as long as he can see an importance in it. With that said, if something seems meaningless to him, he’s going to express why he feels that way no matter how touchy the subject is.

Pessimistic.  He has a rather gloomy outlook on life. Jabriel normally thinks of the worst that could happen in events rather than the best. This actually determines how he makes his choices as well, he would obviously go with the choice that results in the least bad. His belief is that his death would be far from peaceful and in the afterlife he would suffer from greater penalties than he did in his previous life. He doesn’t truly believe that fairness exists, he sees laws as something that was created to protect the higher authorities. His pessimism also is the reason why he has trust issues, believing that anyone will betray him if given the chance. No matter how good the news is he can always think of something bad that came with it as well. Even with all these pessimistic thoughts, he somehow manages to keep it inside his head.

Quiet.  Jabriel is a kind, self-centered, and emotionless, know it all and most importantly secretive person. He doesn't socialize with many people, especially if he doesn’t know them.

Self-serving.  Due to the reason of his cynical nature, he strives for what’s best for himself. If it isn’t something that is going to benefit him in some way then he’s most likely won’t bother even thinking of doing it. He is a very independent person that believes he has no limit, as long as he works hard enough to complete his objectives. Even when the odds are stacked up against him, he will refuse to ask for help.

Strategic.  During battle, Jabriel is very strategic. He is not rash when fighting, often taking observation of his environment and putting it to his use. He will often hold off on an attack, waiting until he understands more of his opposition before he makes decisions.

Intelligent.  A second of him not thinking has yet to pass. He strongly believes knowledge is true power. Through every new encounter, it is automatic that he observe whomever it is in his presence as well as the area around if not familiar. The process happens fairly quickly to the point he has stored in his head accurate information on the physical appearance of the individual, within only a few seconds. It’s safe to say that his memory and thought process can rival that of a super computer. Any data he gathers on someone is stored in his mind forever, unless he is affected by anything that can alter his mind. Normally he plans things out in advance, which in most cases is accurate. For whenever his plan doesn’t work out, he can easily and quickly improvise.
In battle, Jabriel analyzes his opponent at first. If there was a certain pattern going on, he’d catch on. Once comfortable, he attacks in ways for the opponent to unintentionally expose their weaknesses. He can even go as far as to what attacks to endure in order to come back with a powerful strike of his own. Furthermore, he can effectively limit himself from using too much energy, so that towards the end of the fight he’ll be in a better state energy-wise than his opponent. There’s a lot of different plans he had formulated in battles which resulted in an exhausted opponent. That’s his preferred way to end a battle, but not his only.

Vengeful. He is far from the person who believes in forgive and forget. If someone betrayed, even in the slightest way, he will do something in return. Most of the time it would be in a more than necessary manner. Some would call it overreacting or even childish, but he could care less. Jabriel believes that he is teaching the individual(s) a lesson, regardless of how big or small the situation.

Likes:
Jabriel has a taste for certain condiments. Which are the following; barbecue sauce, cheese, steak sauce, salt, pepper, chocolate, peanut butter, grape jelly, and ranch or Italian salad dressings. Two of his favorite beverages are chocolate milk and lemonade. His favorite color is blue. A soothing color that can represent calmness. To him it's the most beautiful color. Additionally, he enjoys technology. It makes life more convenient, and with the constant growth things that seemed impossible at first are becoming possible. As a spiritual person, he believes in a higher power. After all, life had to come from somewhere. He believes the number eight is the best number. By rotating it sideways, it would appear to be the infinite symbol. Any form of multimedia could attract his attention, whether good or bad, especially when bored. He loves surprises, regardless of if it's a gift or unexpected event. Jabriel enjoys playing games. They're made to entertain, and some even have other purposes.

Dislikes:
People who believes their assumptions are just. Those who frequently jump to conclusions without confirming it. Blasphemy, anything that disrespects God. The condiments that aren't listed under likes. Ketchup, mustard, mayo, and all that other weird tasting stuff. Bullies and cowards. Someone who fears many things. A person who won’t stand up for their self. An individual who is only tough when their friends or someone who would protect them are around. Haters. A person who rather expose a flaw in someone rather than congratulate them on their success. Unlike jealousy, the hater doesn't necessarily want to be the person but do want to turn them down a notch. Jealousy. When someone dislikes another because they don’t possess the same wealth, talents, personal achievements, and/or etc. as that person. In turn they want to be that person or in their position, and have built up some envy towards that person. One thing that really gets under his skin are lies. No matter if it’s a big lie or small lie, a lie is a lie. He doesn’t like to be lied to. Phonies. Someone who acts like someone they’re not. One who tries to fit in by not being their self. The color red. It is the color of oozing blood. A color normally affiliated with evil things.

Motivation:
Jabriel is very self-motivated. While there are times where others motivate him, overall he motivates himself to achieve things or get tasks done. He was practically a loner before making his way to a place he could call home. With him not always being around people, he only had the option but to push himself. Up to the point, where it is a habit, and he doesn’t really need the encouragement or motivation of others. His strong desire to exceed expectations is one way he maintains this self-motivation.

Fears:
Being tainted by evil. It starts off small at first, then ends up consuming you as a whole. All that follows the path of evil is negative things, such things he does not want part in.
Large bodies of water. He can’t swim, so he’s wary of deep water.
Life without music. Would make the world very dull.
Time. Minor case of chronomentrophobia, he hates feeling like he’s running out of time.

Galon, Jabriel Histor11

History:
Brief Backstory

From a foreign land, Jabriel has made his way to shinobi grounds. Not much is known about his family, other than they’re presumed to be alive. Around the age of eight, Jabriel lost all contact with those of kin to him. Due to the fact, he was abducted by a group of mercenaries for the sole purpose of money, through human trafficking.  The mercenaries were a group of mid-aged adults, consisting of both male and female members, who targeted kids between the ages of six up to sixteen. The children were sold off one by one, for the most part to be put into forced labor. Eventually, Jabriel was sold to a wealthy couple, who couldn’t produce a child of their own by natural means.

Shien and Mizuho were the names of his, appropriately called, foster parents. Two retired veterans of their local military force. Shien was honorably discharged after suffering severe wounds. Thus, causing his wife, Mizuho, to forfeit her duties as a medic to be at his aid on a daily basis.

Unknown to the outside world, this seemingly innocent couple conducted immoral experiments. Their goal was to create a way where one could control their reality through dreams. Since the mind is responsible for the production of said dreams, anything is virtually possible for an individual wielding this ability. Shien was motivated by his inability to perform simple physical tasks due to the condition of his body. He believed that he could bring life to his reoccurring dream of being healed, if this experiment were ever to succeed. While under the influence of the seal, anything that happens within the dream happens in the outside world.

Human sacrifices are required to create this powerful sealing technique. Shien didn’t feel it was safe enough for him to try out, which is why he persuaded his wife to go fetch his victims. So far, none of the test subjects have survived their dream worlds. The experiment would be considered successful, once someone returns from their dream world. Even though it was known that they couldn’t conceive a child, the reason behind buying Jabriel or any other child for that matter, was solely for this experiment. Buying from the mercenaries made it much easier and less time consuming for potential test subjects. After putting Jabriel through a few tests and taking notes, they performed the experiment on him. Trapping him into a new reality within his mind.

Act of the Maker

Lore is a village that is located in the depths of a mass forest. It serves the home to a few tribes whose leaders form the village council, the Spirit Whisperers. It is forbidden to leave the village unless a blessing is received to do so. Elders of the village commonly warned fellow villagers that if they ever did decide to leave without a proper blessing then they will be forever cursed and may not return. Only one person has ever left and returned with a corrupted soul, however was destroyed by the eight guardians of that generation. Tales frequently spread throughout the small village, some which were possibly true while others seeming made up. A group called the Eight Guardians was made up of eight of the village’s most worthy warriors whose duty was to protect the village and its inhabitants. For one to become eligible for such an honorable rank, they’d have to overcome trials that are completely based on the individual. Therefore, no one will ever go through the exact same trials, meaning there’s no way to train for it. Only those chosen by The Maker will conquer the trials. Each individual within the Eight Guardians is considered a hero, but only one is acknowledged as The Hero of Lore, and that individual is normally the most skilled and leader of the group. Mainly every structured building is made of tree. This village has a training area, shop, and a stream of water. Always kept neat by the villagers, keeping it a clean and friendly atmosphere.

A small family, consisting of two brothers, lived in this village. The whereabouts of their parents are unknown. Though to the older brother, Tai, it was believed that their parents died in a war that happened a little after the birth of his brother, Jabriel, which was exactly five years ago. The two brothers were raised by a village elder ever since their parents had left to fight. The elder’s name was Seirein, he was a member of the eight guardians in his youth. However, due to age he had to retire and chose to be sort of an advisor. Day after day Seirein would try to instill knowledge into the two brothers, guiding them to become strong in every way possible. This was mainly due to Tai’s ambition to become one of the Eight Guardians. Jabriel was only five and went along with it, looking up to his brother as a younger brother normally did. Though he didn’t have his mind on such serious matters, he really thought it was a game and only wanted to play. This sometimes annoyed Tai, but he knew that his brother was young, so it never really did get to him.

On Tai’s thirteenth birthday, he had got a wooden sword as a present. Jabriel was now eight years of age. Differences between the two started to show as they began to train together. Normally during these sessions, Jabriel would be scared due to thinking he’ll get hurt, but they’ve trained together so many times that now he’s grown tougher. Seirein normally spectated the fight and would tell them afterwards where they were messing up. A day where Jabriel has beaten Tai has yet to come, well that is until this day. Tai preferred physical training more so than mental, though he was still smart, just not on the level of his younger brother. Jabriel is somewhat of a strategist, valuing mental training over physical, still wielding good physical strength but clearly nowhere near his brother’s. This training session started as the others would with Tai taking the aggressive approach and Jabriel being more passive. The thing that happened differently however was that Jabriel wasn’t relying on instinct this time, but on his intellect. Showing the strategist side of himself, countering strikes and using the environment to his advantage. This surprised Tai so much that he felt he could stop holding back, but he couldn’t keep up with the agile Jabriel. It was aggravating to him that Jabriel wasn’t attempting to strike him or anything. Tai kept pursuing Jabriel with swift powerful punches and kicks. Only quick evasive maneuvers and counters were being performed by Jabriel. Later revealing that his whole purpose was to tire out his brother, which he had done successfully. After Jabriel started to notice the drop of speed and power, he began to strike back in disabling points. Resulting in his first win against his brother. Needless to say, Tai was actually proud and kind of embarrassed for his younger brother outsmarting him. Training sessions from now on went back and forth. Seirein was proud of how much the two had progressed over the years.

A year later after that surprising defeat, Seirein had passed away from old age. The brothers held a funeral ceremony for their father figure with the entire village present. It was a sad time, but this day was bound to come and the brothers knew it. They were grateful The Maker that he didn’t die through sickness or anything of that nature. Instead of being depressed they felt happy, believing that his soul is traveling to a better place. Thanks to him teaching them a spiritual belief. Things for the brothers would change from now on. The home of Seirein was now theirs and Tai knew he’d have to step up by taking the role as an adult.  Which meant he would have to make ways to provide. He had learned a few interesting skills such as crafting, growing crops, and hunting. So, through constant hard work he took care of himself and his younger brother.

One day a group of teens around his age with their leader being two years older, approached Tai while he was out hunting. They were obviously up to no good and Tai knew it but they came with an offer that would make it easier for him to earn money. Since he was working day and night every day, it seemed like a splendid idea. The thing was for him to sell a batch of herbs that stimulates the mind. Illegal activity that could get him into a lot of trouble if caught, but that’s if he got caught. Easy money was made as he started to do as the gang said. Little did he know they were actually mixed up in a lot of crimes from theft to murder. This lifestyle actually affected his personality, developing a grimy trait. Jabriel could see what was going on with his brother and sometimes they’d talk about it. Through their conversations it was plain to see that Tai’s heart was in the right place, yet he was being deceived by those he thought were his friends. His “job” became an addiction as he saw the fast money he was making. Even though at some point in time he had lied and told Jabriel that he had quit. Trusting his brother, Jabriel believed Tai and spoke nothing else of it.

During the days Tai worked, Jabriel would spend time training his skills. It was until one day he had discovered something while training. It was a letter that was well hidden not too far from the house. It was inside a bottle that floated in a small body of water that was in their yard. After taking the cork out of the bottle he retrieved the letter which turned out to be from Seirein. This letter was written before his death and had finally been discovered nearly a month later. It described his trials on the path to become one of the Eight Guardians. Jabriel knew that this descriptive letter would strike his brother’s interest as well.

Trials of Abstract

Thoughts of trials ran through the head of Jabriel. He believed all of his training would be worth something. His brother Tai was reminded of his childhood dream of becoming a hero which conflicted with the activities he had been involved with lately. Yet, he believed that his chance was now and all other activities could be put on hold. Tai wanted to at least make an attempt, but his mindset was so messed up that he made the choice that if he failed he’d continue to do the illegal things he was doing.

The brothers spent a whole year of training before partaking on such a challenge. Jabriel had developed a keen sense of hearing through the training. His enhanced hearing abilities had proven to be better than his perfect sight plenty of times. Tai on the other hand performed on a lesser level. Though Jabriel never made it obvious to him.

They were finally ready to meet up with the Spirit Whispers to seek permission to go on the trials. Both of the brothers were granted permission to partake on the journey. Jabriel and Tai were put to sleep by a mystical force used by the Spirit Whisperers. Except they were not together as they thought they would, each was in a separate dimension until the necessary trials were met.

Jabriel was inside of a dark temple that had different types of monstrous creatures wandering around. All Jabriel had on his person was his regular village clothes and a broadsword made of steel on his back. He wielded the huge sword, feeling the weight of the blade, causing the blade to crash down to the rocky ground. It made a loud noise that attracted some of the monsters in the area. Three human plant like creatures approached, Jabriel had lifted the sword from the ground to hold its handle with both hands so he could manage holding its weight.  The monsters looked like a regular human, except with long vines, reaching up to twenty feet, coming from their palms. As the creatures walked it appeared as if they were dancing, slowly swaying their body from side to side, in a synchronized manner. This was quite a scary sight, but Jabriel knew he’d have to overcome his own fear in order to survive. He backed up, trying to read their movements but as one would get into range they’d strike with their vine in a whipping motion. The vines had needles in them, so to be struck by one would result in being punctured. For the first few strikes he simply let the vines bounce off his blade to get a feel of lifting and maneuvering it. He was timing their strikes while moving around, slowly circling them in an attempt to create an opening or spot one. The next vine strike attempted to wrap around his blade, but with enough force of pulling back his blade the sword cut through the vine. This caused that opponent to whine loudly and strike with the other vine right after. As it wrapped around, Jabriel performed the same action yet this time after slicing through he pursued that attacker due to it being stunned. Slashing through its midsection, completely obliterating the monster. Followed by diagonally slashing the one that was behind it, quickly destroying two of the three. Immediately after the slash, Jabriel brought down the blade, stabbing into the ground. The remaining creature attacked with both vines in an attempt to capture and eliminate Jabriel. It was a close call, however Jabriel had used his blade that was stabbed into the ground as support to launch himself into the air. The vines crashed into the blade as the monster reacted as if it were shocked. While nearly ten feet in the air, Jabriel performed a roundhouse kick at the monster’s head. Forcing it to disconnect from its shoulders. The body fell flat to the ground then dissolved into it as the others did. He walked back over to his sword to pull it out of the ground with both hands, starting to get used to the weight at a slow pace. The sword actually slowed down his speed but it was a useful tool, and maybe someday he’ll be used to it. Suddenly a thornless vine wrapped around his waist and pulled him up at least four stories high. It was revealed to be a huge venus flytrap like creature with long vines as arms that was quadruple the size and length of the previous creatures, yet this could speak common language. “Die petty creature” the boss monster said. Jabriel’s sword was still in his hand and he was ready to strike the vine that held him, however when he attempted to slice free the blade got stuck into its vine.  The thick blade only sliced halfway through the thick vine. At this moment he was set free, tossed away until bumping against a wall. The floor had closed up so there was no escape. A battle had to happen. Jabriel noticed his sword was still in the gigantic plant. For some reason, the boss had flung that vine allowing the blade to fly off but in an opposite area of the room than Jabriel. Not pausing for a moment, Jabriel ran towards where his sword had been thrown. To no surprise the plant had tripped him with a vine then wrapped it around Jabriel’s legs as he got close to the blade. It started to lift him from the ground by his leg, Jabriel was reaching for his sword but it was about two meters away. Somehow the blade rose from the ground and made its way to Jabriel’s hand, allowing him to slice free by putting in more force behind the strike than before. It was like Jabriel had telekinetic abilities over his sword, but how it happened was really unknown. Regardless, the fight was to his advantage now, seeing that the creature only had one vine arm active. He figured he should act aggressively, believing the plant’s arm was already damaged so it would most likely be slower when striking. Proving to be right, after the monster slammed down its vine in an attempt to crush Jabriel with his force. Using his senses, furthermore his hearing, he could accurately determine by the sound of wind caused by the forceful attempt the exact point of which it would strike. Simply he jumped to the right side as he was rushing, avoiding contact with the vine. The moment the vine had crashed to the ground, a big pile of dirt rose, concealing Jabriel for a brief moment. He used this as a shroud, quickly jumping to left to land on top of the vine, stabbing his blade into it and dragging it along his trail as he ran up the vine that lead to the head of the boss. With the vine sliced up it became inactive, giving Jabriel the fight almost instantly. The monster tried to swallow him once he had leaped towards it in a close enough range from the vine. Consequently, Jabriel slashed his way through its head. Finally defeating the monster. Seconds later he landed his feet on the floor with the monster slowly tilting over and eventually crashing down onto the ground causing a huge thumping noise.

The first trial has been completed. A physical trial with the main purpose of testing his strength. This was typically the purpose of the first trial. Though with multiple variations for each individual. The realm altered into a game show room. Here both of the brothers along with four others who were on this trial met. In this realm they had to use their wits to survive, only three can complete this trial.

Jabriel was sitting on a chair with a table in front of him, on top of the table was an orb that had a more sinister looking version of himself inside of it. Tai looked more serious than Jabriel had ever seen. Seeing nothing but determination in his eyes.  He wanted to speak to his older brother, but knew he had to focus on what was going on. The host of this game show had come out and introduced himself as no one other than the game master. The Game Master looked to be at least nine feet tall and wore a majestic robe that covered his body. Accompanied with a golden crown with many jewels embedded into it. Three rings that sparkled from the bright lights in the room. Also a golden rod that looked fancy as well, he was literally dressed as a king. The Game Master explained to them that they would have to fight the darkness that lurks within themselves. Which explains the evil looking Jabriel inside the orb on his table. He looked at his brother and saw that he too had a dark version of himself inside of his orb as well. Then turned his attention back to the Game Master who was still speaking “Inside of each of your orbs lies a darker version of you. They retain all knowledge you have acquired thus far, whether you just learned something new or not. However, they represent the anger, hatred, and any dark feelings you may hold inside of you for whatever. Is it possible for you to outsmart or outmatch yourself? Well that’s something we’ll find out soon enough.” the Game Master exclaimed, before waving his hands sending each contender into their orbs respectively. Jabriel was transported into a place that looked like he was standing on clouds with a bright sky. His dark counterpart was scowling at him with dark energy visibly building up around it. Jabriel wielded his broadsword and began to rush at the dark version of himself. Dark Jabriel simply mimicked him, drawing his more evil looking blade and taking off rushing. The two blades clashed at an equalized force. Jabriel was attempting to punch, but dark Jabriel had forced his weight onto the blade, knocking Jabriel to the ground and attempting to impale him on the spot. Jabriel swiftly rolled to avoid being stabbed, but was kicked in the chin the moment he had tried to look back up at dark Jabriel. It was of his nature to take advantage of every possible opening and that’s exactly what the dark version had done. The kick sent him flying back nearly twelve meters, as he flew back from the impact he firmly gripped his blade with his left hand. He quickly started to get back up, however dark Jabriel had been pursuing him as he was going back. All Jabriel could do at this moment was lift his blade to block the strike from the sword. The more aggravated he became the stronger dark Jabriel had become and he noticed this. Seeming like many hours of this fight has passed. He had no hatred in his heart, but he was angry about the death of Seirein. It was just something he never showed. Jabriel had used the force of dark Jabriel’s strike to get some distance from him by jumping back at the same moment of the strike. Then he started to think of what the Game Master had said. This dark version of himself was basically the embodiment of his dark feelings. Easily being overpowered and outmatched, he decided to test a theory since the dark version wasn’t even close to being exhausted even if it could be. While he was gaining distance, he closed his eyes and started to meditate. Deep in his mind he remembered Seirein telling him that The Maker doesn’t make any mistakes and nobody can live forever. That flashback of how peaceful things were and how at calm Seirein could even say such words helped him as he began to understand at this moment that Seirein was at peace even at that moment. A refreshing feeling flowed throughout his body as he realized that his ill feelings were unnecessary. Relinquishing the anger that was within him. Dark Jabriel was just inches away with his sword at this time, the blade phased through Jabriel, causing no harm as dark Jabriel began to fade away. By getting rid of the anger that was in his heart, he had successfully defeated his own dark side. Shortly after, a bright light teleported him back to the room game show room. There was a total of three people in the room, including Jabriel, and these people were the ones to successfully complete the trial. Unfortunately, Tai wasn’t amongst the three. The Game Master congratulated the winners and told them the next two trials will come in due time. Instantly they were returned to the real world.

Jabriel had completed the second trial, now only two remained. He was teleported once again by a bright light into the real world. His brother had already left some time ago. He hoped Tai was alright and didn’t let it get to him too much, but knew this was unlikely seeing as his brother was very determined about it. He headed straight home after receiving documentation on completing the first two trials. This document wasn’t really needed, but really used to show like a trophy.

The initiation

News of the events that occurred during the first two trials quickly traveled throughout the whole village within that same week. All participants were praised for what they had accomplished whether they completed both trials or not. Though, failing a trial meant your journey in taking the trials were over permanently. It wasn’t up to the Spirit Whisperers, but the mystical or spiritual force that controls the trials itself. For the three who had completed both trials, they had earned a spot as an officer of the law within the village. Normally their duties were to patrol the village to deal with crimes and threats to the village. Every officer is under the administration of the Eight Guardians. Any member of the Eight Guardians can give an individual officer or team of officers a specific duty. Some of these duties require that the officer(s) leave the village to fulfill. Jabriel was very excited about becoming an officer and Tai showed no ill feelings, only support. Though Tai, unknowingly by Jabriel, was going back to his old habits. Yet, Tai still felt it was important to train his brother even with his own chances being blown. Leading them to train daily as they normally would.

The Eight Guardians had called forth a meeting that included participation of all the officers. One of the officers had notified Jabriel of the meeting, interrupting his training session. Tai hid his jealousy, nearly as well as he hid his criminal acts. Darkness had consumed his heart, altering his personality and morality even more. Jabriel knew his brother well and could normally tell when something was wrong. Which is why even though Tai acted normal, Jabriel believed that his brother was mad about the trials and thought it was something he’d get over in time. However, he was unaware that his brother had begun hanging with that bad crowd again. Tai was quite the sneaky character and could be dangerously cunning when he wants to. Being promoted to a high status within the gang he was part of in little time and at a young age of fifteen. The gang consisted of a mix between boys and girls whose ages ranged from sixteen to twenty four, with Tai as the first and only exception due to his skills.

Jabriel headed to the headquarters where the meeting was supposed to take place. It was one of the biggest tree buildings in the village, second to the hospital. Actually serving as a main base for the tactical unit of the law force. Additionally, having a hidden storage facility inside, which kept armor, weapons, and other valuable items secured. Upon entrance he was guided to a seat by a fellow officer. Then the meeting itself took place.

During the meeting many topics were discussed. The first was mainly for the new officers who had joined. Stating the rules and regulations of being an officer of the village. New members had to be under the surveillance of an assigned higher ranked officer, who would typically act as their leader. Explaining how disobedience or failure to comply with the rules can result in immediate exile from the law force, unless the reason behind the action was justifiable. They aren’t to leave the village alone and when with another officer to leave the village, they must first be given permission as usual.  The next topic was on a new training area being built for those in the law force. It would work in a similar mystical way as the trials did, but instead the realm is built on the individual’s imagination. They could create their own training scenarios or even join in with another person’s. Some of the brightest minds of the village determined this to be the most effective training method ever. Due to everything in the realm being able to reflect back on the individual in the real world. Dangerous, which is why it’s not open to the public, officers should know how to limit their self. Plus, they’ve been warned of the risks, so the way the use the system is completely up to them. The final topic spoken of was concerning the increase in unsolved crimes. A small gang has been conducting all sorts of crimes around the village. It started off small time crimes such as theft but then grew to burglary. They move in ways that can’t be easily tracked, however until recently one member slipped up. An officer caught the member and locked her in a jail cell. It was suggested that they needed an inside man. From the crimes this gang has committed they knew it would be a dangerous job. The reason a member of the Eight Guardians couldn’t do it was because they were famous around the village and known as law abiding citizens. With no intel on where this gang could be located, there was no direct way to act on them. Thus, why an insider was needed. Jabriel saw this as a perfect opportunity to show his worth to the force. This required that he teamed up with another officer, named Eris whom was skilled in handling tasks like this. Subsequently, leading him to his first task as an officer. However, they would have to wait until the release of the inmate which would be in two years. So during that free time, Jabriel started to study and train considerably, learning a few skills to prepare himself.

First Task

A few days after the release of the inmate they had captured, Jabriel and Eris met up with the person. Surprisingly, he welcomed them to the gang with open arms as if he expected them. Taking them to the hideout that was actually located underground, with the passageway being in a pond within the village. A lot of valuable items was seen in the underground hideout and the members treated Jabriel and Eris as their own. Things were going a little too well, which caused Jabriel to question things. Members of the gang were bragging to each other about the many heists they had successfully got away with. Also, of a member who was considered a prodigy and most likely to be their next leader in little time. This guy they spoke highly of was Tai, but of course Jabriel didn’t know. Tai was actually so secretive that the members didn’t even know he had any relatives. Jabriel felt it would be beneficial to find out who the leader was as well as who this upcoming guy was. Unfortunately he found out their leader was actually Eris and being outnumbered they easily made him a prisoner. The plan was to execute him after they had successfully stolen the items within the Headquarters for the officers. They were to hold Jabriel as hostage as a backup plan, just in case anything went wrong.

The steel bars made it nearly impossible for Jabriel to escape. Only with a key or something that can pick the lock could grant his freedom. There was nothing in the cell that was able to be used to pick a lock, so he thought of a plan. There was only one guard on the floor to keep watch, quite a stupid idea he thought. Nonetheless, he started to cause a scene. Angering the guard enough to make him walk over to Jabriel and reach through bars to grab him by his shirt collar. In this little amount of time Jabriel used a sleight of hand maneuver to swiftly and sneakily loot the key from the guard while being pulled to the bars. After pickpocketing the guard, he placed the key into his pocket before being forced back by the guard. It happened so smooth that the guard didn’t notice a thing and returned to his position. Jabriel wasted no time to unlock the cell door, silently following behind the guard as he was walking back to his position. In a quick succession of four swift strikes to pressure points, Jabriel had rendered the guard temporarily unconscious. Leaving him enough time to intervene with the gang’s plan without the guard waking up and alerting everyone. He wandered throughout the hideout in a stealthy fashion. Until coming across a room where Eris and other members were, including his brother Tai. They were going over their plot to rob the headquarters, but before they really got into detail Tai had requested they took a break. Jabriel had seen Tai look in his direction, however he didn’t give out his brother’s location. It was decided that they should strike another day, since Eris told them of the new security measures that were going on with the law force. At this moment Jabriel was enraged to see his brother had lied to him, but kept himself under control, not sure what to do at this moment.

With little time to spare, Jabriel made it out of the hideout without being spotted. Thoughts clouded his mind as he wondered what his brother was doing there. He didn’t want to believe that his brother was actually still participating with the gang. Thinking it must be something else to it. Jabriel headed directly to headquarters to inform them of the hideout location, but was interrupted by his brother.

Family Feud

“You know… she’s not the one truly in charge.” he said to Jabriel in a grim tone. His eyes were fixed on Jabriel, a large hammer strapped on his back. Though he didn’t seem like his intentions were to fight. “Tai, you lied to me. You’ve fallen so low, how do you think Seirein would feel about this?” he responded to Tai with an expression of disgust on his face. Jabriel was unarmed, knowing if a battle did take place he’d lose on the spot. “He is dead, brother. For your sake back off of this case. Trust me, I’ll handle everything.” he said sternly. Hoping that his convincing look would do as it should. “What happened to you…?” shocked at his cold response about Seirein. “I won’t back off. If you want me to trust you after this, you’ll have to earn it.”

From there Tai revealed to Jabriel that he was actually trying to shut down the whole operation. Tai was certain that the real leader was actually part of the Eight Guardians, yet didn’t know who it was exactly. All he requested from Jabriel was time, which Jabriel trusted his brother once again. Jabriel didn’t believe his brother was a bad person, though his personality did change a little. He went by a leap of faith, not sure what to get. If his brother had betrayed him again, then he knew he’d have to personally execute Tai or witness it happen. Something he really didn’t want to think of, but wasn’t blind to the fact.

Eris never returned back to the headquarters, after finding out Jabriel had escaped. This single handedly destroyed her plan. Jabriel was now suspicious of everyone, due to what his brother had shared with him. Still, he never showed it. The gang had many contacts around the village, which is why they are so successful in their schemes. Recently learning of this, he decided to snoop out one based on a tip he had received.  However, he was interrupted by a member of the Eight Guardians and was given a quest.

The quest had dangerous written all over it but Jabriel wasn’t frightened. Details were to travel to a neighboring land and retrieve a forbidden artifact. It is said that the artifact wields some sort of divine power. It lies deep in an abandoned temple. Rumors say this temple has been cursed for many years, with a powerful demonic entity watching over it. Normally with quests as dangerous as this a group of officers or a Guardian their self would take care of it. Jabriel knew this and wondered why the Guardian insisted he did it alone. At this moment Jabriel believed this was the corrupted Guardian his brother was referring to, but couldn’t be entirely sure. Nevertheless, this was either a death trap or a big test, which Jabriel refused to back off from either way. Little did he know, this quest was actually never actually logged, meaning only Jabriel and this Guardian would know of it. By Jabriel leaving the village to embark on the quest, he’d be leaving without permission, since the Guardian was indeed setting him up.

Ascending

Back at the home, Jabriel told Tai that he was being sent on a quest. Sharing the details of what his objective was and how strange it felt going alone. Tai expressed how he was proud of how strong his brother had become and that the feeling was probably him being nervous.  Still, he encouraged Jabriel to stay alert, suspecting something was strange as well but wanted his brother to be able to focus. Tai continue to act as a member of the gang to find out who was really in charge.

Jabriel had a bow that he personally crafted himself and borrowed a short sword from Tai. The blade was made of a rare extremely durable metal, most likely the same sword Seirein used in his active days as a Guardian. After a meditation session, Jabriel left the village to start the quest. He traveled during the night, due to his preference of seeing the beautiful stars and bright moon shine as he traveled. Most likely at this time of night he’d either run into wild animals or bandits in little numbers.

Eventually he had reached the temple, with little interference. It was smaller than he expected, however a black and crimson aura circled around it like a barrier. Interestingly, it wasn’t a violent barrier, as seen when a crow emerged from it. Seeming to emerge from another dimension. Whether that was true or not, Jabriel was ready to find out.

Jabriel wore little armor to prevent his own agility from being penalized. Black steel shoulder armor, gauntlets, and a leather chest piece, all which was forged into his normal clothing. He also wore gloves to protect his hands. Walking out the depths of a forest to go through a portal like barrier. He moved his right hand up and pointed straight, poking through the barrier and pulling back. “Hm…” there was no noticeable harm done to the finger, so he walked through the barrier. All of a sudden the whole world had changed, as he looked around it was as if he were in the main chambers of the temple. The barrier was no longer there when he had looked behind and tried to see if he could go back. Dead silent in the temple, until an echoing sound of slithering was produced. The temple was well lit with candles. He couldn’t tell what had made the noise but knew he wasn’t alone, thus preparing his weapon. Equipped in his right hand was the sword he formally had strapped on his back. Silent movements till he was in the center of the candles. There he witnessed a pure black shadowlike creature, according to legends it’s called a Shade. It was hanging upside down from the ceiling. Swooping down to ground level, almost in an instant after being noticed. The creature stood seven feet and had some human features. It spoke “What… brings you… to my palace..?” Jabriel stared at it, ready to attack at a moment’s notice “Does it matter? I doubt you plan on letting me leave freely anyway and…” as Jabriel was responding, the Shade pursued in attacking. Raising its claw to slice at Jabriel’s sword. Defensively, he pushed the Shade off his blade by applying enough force, causing the Shade to fall to the ground a few feet away. Afterwards, a blue orb was spawned from the Shade. Jabriel didn’t know what it was but figured he could slice through it to finish off the Shade. As he was charging towards the Shade, the orb immediately motioned its way in front of Jabriel. Slicing through the orb, he found himself being teleported to another spot in the room. Above ground by a few feet, crashing his back onto the ground. This moment the Shade had regained its stance and started to head in the direction of Jabriel. Noticing that his enemy could manipulate space, he knew he had to find out the limits of the creature.

The fight continued for at least an hour, until Jabriel was comfortable with the knowledge he had just acquired on his current enemy. There was a delay in time between each technique used by the Shade. In which Jabriel had finally took advantage of. True he was tired and beaten up, but this was a situation that could cost him his life, thus causing him to continue to push forward. The next time the Shade had produced an orb, Jabriel had thrown his sword at it then attacked with his body.  The sword was teleported, but Jabriel himself was still in front of the Shade and hit it with a deadly combination of strikes. Finally defeating the Shade after a long battle. At defeat the creature had burst into a light energy, which ended up being absorbed by Jabriel somehow. This was the exact moment Jabriel’s inner energy had been awakened. His energy was fully restored and he could feel power run down his veins.

Sadly, there was no artifact within the temple. It was a complete setup to end Jabriel’s life. However, the curse on the temple was lifted and restored to a pure state. Jabriel was upset that he had fell for such trickery. Not knowing if he should return to the village or not. Safe bet was to stay outside of the village until his brother could expose the corruption going on from within. He could communicate with his brother by using a bird to send letters. Deciding to relocate himself to another village close to the temple. Someone from the village he headed to had witnessed Jabriel go into the temple and come out victorious by seeing the curse being lifted. Therefore, when entering the small old looking village, the villagers welcomed him as a hero. Followed by guiding him to their chieftain. The chieftain was so grateful of Jabriel’s deed that he gave him a place to stay within the village free of charge and even if he left the village it would still be his. Jabriel showed gratitude and stayed a few days, communicating with his brother, waiting for a chance to return to his home village.

Foul Play

Tai was communicating with his brother, revealing that he knew exactly who was leading the gang. Later revealing that the Guardian had known for a while that the two were brothers. His exact plan was unknown at the time, but he did devise a plan to get rid of Tai. Figuring Tai was no longer a loyal member to his gang. Eyes were on the two brothers the night that Tai had stopped Jabriel from telling headquarters of the gang’s location. Eris wasn’t too far from Tai at that time and wondered why he didn’t kill Jabriel. She saw it as an act of betrayal and told the real leader of the gang about the situation.

Tai had sent a final letter to Jabriel, stating his true intentions may had been discovered and revealing who the mastermind of the gang was. Shortly after, Eris had met with Tai and told him to report to the hideout. He knew something was going on, but wasn’t exactly sure what it was. Upon entering the hideout, he was cornered and restrained.  In little time the true leader revealed himself and his knowledge of Tai’s plan to shut his operation down. Tai met a slow demise, as he was personally tortured to death as an example to all the other members to never cross the gang.

In the final letter, Jabriel was told to wear a disguise when returning to the village. Something that didn’t stand out too much, but also something that would effectively hide his identity. This was because Jabriel was a target on the gang’s list. Additionally he was informed that a ceremony was coming and that would be the best time to return to the village and meet. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t be meeting.

Celebration

Jabriel returned to Lore the day of the ceremony. He wore a great disguise with only those who really knew him could actually tell. Word of Jabriel leaving the village had never came across the village. It was believed by the gang that he was dead, but just in case he wasn’t the members were ordered to assassinate him when the chance presented itself. Jabriel moved with the crowd, looking around the village for his brother. Not being able to find Tai anywhere, he decided to return back home.

Home was where the remains of Tai was scattered. Jabriel was immediately fell to his knees after seeing how his brother was brutally murdered. His anger had got the best of him at the moment. He had threw a tantrum that unknowingly gained the attention of someone associated with the gang. The member had heard noises coming from the house and decided to check it out, curious about who was in the house. Jabriel was burning the remains into ashes, well aware of the presence creeping up on him.

A short battle took place, resulting in Jabriel not being harmed in the least and that associate being nearly crippled. He interrogated the man, finding out that the gang was indeed the reason his brother was dead. Jabriel had crippled the man, therefore further restrains wasn’t needed. However, thoughts started to run through his head as his anger built.

The Truth and Decision

The true reason behind his brother’s death was revealed. It wasn’t that Tai had found out about the leader. But that the two brothers possessed a unique energy. To secure his spot as a Guardian, the leader had to eliminate both brothers. Furthermore, the leader knew how to absorb such energy.

The leader of the gang was revealed to be Grem. He was the strongest member physically of the Eight Guardians. Tales of his journeys were well known around the village. No one would believe he was into any criminal activities. Which is why Jabriel knew he couldn’t simply speak out against Grem. His only choice was to eliminate the Guardian along with his gang before they got to him.

Jabriel killed the man after the information was shared, but not in a quick fashion. He killed him slowly. Slicing through places that wouldn’t cause instant death. Even watching the man as he slowly bled out. That night Jabriel’s whole life changed.

Descending

From that point on he moved discretely through the village. Getting in contact with any villager associated with the gang. The reason these villagers even assisted the gang was because they were being extorted. Seeing that Jabriel was still alive, they put their trust in him, believing he would save them by getting rid of the gang once and for all. So, they cooperated with him. Finding out the gang did believe he was dead and where a handful of them lived.

With the information gathered he went to gang’s hideout and went on a secret killing spree. Torturing each and every member in many different brutal ways. Gaining information of where the members who didn’t live there were located. Eventually ending with Eris, who he forced into telling him where Grem was located before killing her. She revealed his home wasn’t within the village and gave the exact location. He hadn’t shown any remorse for the killings he had performed, making it clear he was being controlled by his anger. It took two days for Jabriel to completely wipe out Grem’s gang one by one. Grem was aware of the fact, but didn’t worry about it due to his current standing. At this point he knew Jabriel was still alive, but couldn’t do anything to him inside of the village. That known, Grem personally gave Jabriel’s home a visit. However, he wasn’t there or in clear view at the time. Jabriel was watching from afar, waiting for the moment that Grem would head home so he could follow.

Battle of Hate

Vengeance was all the young man had his mind on. Word of him returning to the village hadn’t even circulated. All of his movements were secretive, extremely stealthy. Though his blood was boiling inside, he kept his composure. Even though he had made it to become an officer, his identity was still not too well known. Which proved to be beneficial to him with him walking around the village.

Grem was being escorted out of the village by two people who acted as his bodyguard. This caused Jabriel to follow behind with a little more cautiousness. The bodyguards were actually officers. One of them had joined the time Jabriel had joined. Making him wonder how Grem had gotten so many loyal followers so discretely.

Jabriel tailed the group of three that were heading out of the village. Wearing a black robe with its hood covering his head and concealing most of his identity. His appearance looked like what the ritualists of the village normally wore. Each step he took on the dirt road was nearly inaudible. The three he was following were aware of someone lagging behind them, but didn’t suspect that they were being followed or even that it was Jabriel. However after two miles they had started to slow down, allowing him to walk by them. Not quite ready to take them on, he simply walked by with his head down low enough for him to not be revealing his face. Walking far ahead before turning to head off the road, to make it seem like he was continuing down his path. When Grem and the officers passed by where Jabriel had turned, Grem had dismissed them. In which they did, but instead of heading back to the village they thought it would be worthwhile to try to rob the person they had seen walking all alone, whom was Jabriel. “Hey you, come here” the two officers demanded, not too far away from Jabriel, who seemed like he was meditating at the time. He got up from his kneeling position then turned around to face the two, still with his head lowered to conceal his identity.  The two officers had took out daggers as they started to approach Jabriel. Once they had got into mid-range, Jabriel lifted his head up to gaze at them with his eyes while wearing a smirk. At that point they had realized the guy was Jabriel. A short dash was all that was needed for Jabriel to use the closest officer’s attack as a counter. Grabbing the man’s wrist and slinging the officer to the other officer’s stabbing motion. This caused the second officer to thrust his dagger into the heart of his own companion. Jabriel didn’t waste no time in kicking the body forcefully to the officer that remained, causing the remaining officer to fall to the ground. The temporarily immobilized officer tried to push the dead corpse off of himself, yet it was too late due to Jabriel performing a strong soccer kick towards the officer’s chin to cause a knock out.  Shortly after he decapitated the knocked out officer.

After defeating both of Grem’s bodyguards, Jabriel had searched them. Finding a scroll that had orders which was written by Grem himself. This was enough evidence to have Grem locked up or even possibly executed. Yet, Jabriel was blinded by vengeance and wanted to kill the man himself. Truly believing that would be the only way for true justice. Returning back to the road he had abandoned to throw them off his case, he noticed a well-built building. A building that turned out to be the home of Grem.

“Finally, I will avenge you at last brother.” He thought in his head before walking up to the door. It was a huge wooden double door that had glowing shards fixed into it. Quite an exquisite sight to see, nevertheless Jabriel motioned his right hand towards the doorknob and tried to open it but failed. Examining the shards led him to try touching them in a pattern, granting him access to the home. Right after entering, Jabriel had stepped on a triggered block, causing him to be transported to an open room that was as big as a throne room. There, Grem awaited Jabriel, showing that he expected the young boy to come to him the whole while. “About time you’ve shown up, I was about to take a nap.” Grem said with a smirk, reaching for his large battleaxe “Well let’s get to it.” Jabriel unzipped his robe, showing that he had Seirein’s sword sheathed on his hip. “You will die here and now.” Jabriel barked as he drew his blade, then took off in a sprint towards Grem. In little time both the bladed part of the axe and the sword clashed. The clash lasted for a little under a second due to Jabriel pulling back then striking below the head of the battleaxe, hitting the iron haft. Furthermore, knocking the battleaxe off its direction. At that same time, Jabriel had performed a stomping kick towards Grem’s knees. Surprisingly to his enemy, Jabriel was more skilled than anticipated. Grem lifted his leg to cause the young boy’s kick to strike his calf muscles which was bulging. Impact from the kick seemed to be ineffective. Jabriel had actually suffered a minor pain, using Grem’s leg as a platform to launch himself back a bit for space. Nonetheless, Jabriel charged right back at Grem, letting out a short yell. Avoiding a strike performed by Grem, the battleaxe crashed into the ground and got stuck for three seconds. He took advantage of this opening by diagonally slashing at Grem’s right arm, which resulted in a deep cut. Grem’s body was highly durable and packed with lots of muscle. It didn’t surprise Jabriel to see that his powerful slash didn’t slash straight through the man’s arm. However, it disabled Grem’s right arm totally. Unknown to Jabriel, his opponent possessed a regenerative ability. Which was seen as Grem tried to get distance from Jabriel to recover. “Gah! That hurt!” he screamed. Once in a comfortable range it took a total of ten seconds for him to heal his arm. Jabriel noted the man’s ability. The young boy had to change how he was fighting, now going to his old ways, a more tactical way.

Through a long intense battle, Jabriel eventually triumphed over Grem. Killing him wasn’t enough, he had let the man suffer from the fatal wounds caused. Leaving the sword he used to slay Grem, impaled into the former guardian’s chest. Energy radiated from the body into the sword. Instantaneously after, the sword vanished in a bright flash. He had finally gotten revenge, however it didn’t make him feel any better.

Repentance

He really believed that eliminating Grem would make him feel better or some sense of accomplishment. However, it didn't, he actually lost all feeling inside. His heart was hardened to levels that he had never intended. Jabriel realized he had lost his way and was truly alone. He was ready to accept his fate, as he made his way back to his home village.

Deeply believing that there wasn't any point for him to continue living. With that belief, it made it easier for him to return to Lore. The death penalty is what he expected and even wanted a little. Only a few steps from the entrance. Right before entering, he was approached by a hooded creature whose face was shrouded behind darkness while wearing its hood.

"Don't be afraid, Jabriel." the young voice said to him. The creature stood exactly four feet. It beared sharp claws that were approximately three inches long. Other than its hands being revealed, the feet were too. The creature appeared to have four toes that had sharp nails as well. Three toes in front, while the bigger one located on the back of the foot. It was dark outside, so this was the most Jabriel could identify.

"Wh... Who are you?" he asked, startled a bit by the sudden appearance. Since he had lost his weapon, all he could do was clinch his fists. Unsure if the individual speaking to him wanted a fight or not. He stood readily just in case with his full attention on the creature.

In the semi blink of an eye, the unknown entity disappeared without trace. It was as if Jabriel had a minor hallucination. Either that, or something was really trying to speak to him. Nonetheless, he started to have second thoughts on turning himself in. This however didn't matter due to the fact that he was spotted and apprehended by patrols. They quickly took the non-resisting Jabriel to the village council, where his fate would be decided.

In the Spirit Whisperers chambers, they gave him the opportunity to tell his side of the story and provide evidence if able. He told the complete truth of all that had happened and the reasons behind his motives. The council could tell that he was speaking the truth, but was against the fact that he took matters into his own hands. Instead of sentencing him to death, due to one of the spirit whisperer’s special abilities to sense truth, they exiled Jabriel from the village. It was agreed that once he had “found” himself, he could return. Jabriel had no choice but to pack his stuff and leave.

New World

It took a total of four years for Jabriel to wake from his deep slumber. Shien was surprised to see that the child had survived. The experiment was deemed a success, however a major drawback was discovered as well. This drawback is a form of brainwashing; the victim’s “reality” is swapped with their “dream”, meaning they retain their “dream” as if it were a real experience while their “reality” is treated as a dream that could easily be forgotten. The couple took advantage of this by raising Jabriel as one of their own, while trying to find out if this was a permanent or temporary state.

As many of the other kids within the village, Shien and Mizuho decided to register Jabriel into the ninja academy. Surprisingly, his abilities were already on a level of his own. It took him a little time to graduate, seeing as they taught the basics. He was considerably skilled in using weapons, more specifically staves, capable of successfully defending himself against a mob of bandits who were using blade weapons. His intelligence and unique fighting style is what made him stand out.
