Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

The Fall Fish Festival Empty
PostSubject: The Fall Fish Festival   The Fall Fish Festival EmptySun Nov 03, 2013 7:54 pm

It was that time of year again. The time of year where the leaves started falling and the air gained a crisp and nippy feel. During this time of year, Shippugakure hosted its world famous fish festival. Logically, Summer was a better time for a festival, but it was decided long ago, that the changing colours of the leaves suited the occasion so perfectly that they just had to make it during the fall. The festival was held as a ceremony to give gratitude towards the sea and the seafood and other things that came from it. There were koi fish flags and all sorts of other sea art adorned all over the town. It was a huge holiday for all. Ninja, merchants, and just about everyone else in the village toke the day off. Missions were usually suspended for the day. It was a day for everyone to just let loose and have fun.

There was a parade, many small shops, selling festival merchandise, as well as some food karts selling all sorts of delicacies. Just about everyone who was anyone was making an appearance in the village. No one missed the festival, NO ONE.(Yes, you are all forced into this) Every once in a while they would launch some poor schmuck in a chair strapped with fireworks and see where he landed. It was usually very disappointing when the guy in the chair lived. Yes, Shippuu is home to a bunch of dicks, but the last few sentences were nothing more then flavor text and none of it should be taken seriously.

It was early morning, the people were just opening their shops and people were starting to flood into the streets, the parade was coming later in the day. Ninja should also be flooding in. Most were enjoying the day, some where still on duty, just to keep order and make sure nothing terrible happened, like an enemy invasion. It had never happened before, but there was always a first, some were like little ninja cops, making sure no riot started, Shippuu could get pretty crazy after all.

Kamina strolled in to the festivity area passing under a large archway that was adorned with many paper decorations. It was a little fancy for his tastes but then again the only taste he had was the straw hat that was currently sitting upon his head, shielding him from the majority of the sunlight. As he walked through the crowed he couldn't help but notice the grumbling in his gut that was getting every so louder after each bout. Searching for a food stand he found one that he had never seen before. It was apparently a western food, something called a Taco, or so the sign read.

"Excuse me sir, I'll have one of these take-o's that I've been hearing so much about."

The vendor let out a small chuckle before handing him a crispy corn shell in the shape of a U that was filled with brown meat and veggies. Kamina held the Taco in front of his and inspected it thoroughly before taking a sniff of its contents. It certainly had an interesting smell and not something he would associate with food.

"Are you sure this is edible?"

The vendor was serving a customer and didnt even give him a second glance. It was all or nothing. Sudden death. Last man standing. Battle Royale. Kamina's face went in for large bite. He chewed in silence but he eyes widened with every motion. As the piece of taco made its way to his gut he couldnt help himself.

"Oh. My. God. I FUCKING LOVE TAKE-OHS!!!!!!"
