Hard Labour:

Now this was the weather Rin was used to. The familiar sound of rain pounded against his apartment window, providing him with a pleasant pattering background noise as he dressed himself for the day's shenanigans. He was a bit more sluggish this morning than normal, but then again, he would have to go out in the rain... It was something he absolutely dreaded, trudging around in the rain. Now he had a mission assigned for him to do as well? He was going to be in a wet hell for the next few hours. All that he was instructed to do the day before was dispose of some rubbish that had piled up. The storms had been hitting Shippuugakure as hard as ever, possibly even worse than the last wet season they had endured. He'd noticed a lot of buildings sustaining damage from the rain lately, and he was sure that if the genin squads weren't put on the task of repairing them soon, Rin would end up getting stuck with the job.

He pulled a white hoodie over his torso, followed by a short sleeved button up vest over the hoodie and a pair of black cargo shorts. He was dressed out of his usual attire and wearing some pieced together outfit, as Rin didn't particularly care very much about what he was wearing. It was likely he'd end up dirty anyways, the roads were slick and the torrent of rain was still pouring. Chances are that he'd be covered in ash and charcoal by the end of the mission anyways, given his specific assignment to dispose of wood and general rubbish. A bright flash of lightning illuminated his room as he undid the lock and stepped out into the hallway.

Rin stood motionless at the doorway out of his apartment complex and just calmly stared out into the village. It was empty at the moment, nobody in their right minds had any reason to be out and about at a time like this. 'cept for him, of course...

“Dammit.” he said, grumbling and complaining under his breath as he tossed his hood up over his head, jammed his hands into the pockets of his trousers and headed out into the rain. It was cold, as he expected it to be, and each drop stung as it collided with his bare flesh. Thankfully he had made sure most of his body had been covered prior to leaving the safety of the apartments. Rin spent very little time wandering the village and immediately made his way toward the outskirts of the village. Most of the more damaged buildings were located there, as the buildings in the village held quality priority over the outer bits of the village. It was still nice though, even if it was muddy and raining.

Rin huffed upon examining the large pile of rotting, waterlogged lumber and various other trash that was piled into a massive heap. It must have been a few times taller than him, but it was more expansive than tall. He positioned himself in front of the rubbish pile and opened his mouth, then inhaled. As oxygen filled his lungs, chakra was moulded into the air and imbued with his fire nature affinity. He exhaled and a potent yet invisible gas was released, and a small spark at the back of his throat ignited the gas. The flame quickly burned the gas and a liquid flamethrower was exhaled through Rin's mouth. It covered the rubbish and, due to the nature of the flames, stuck to the soaking wood despite being in the rain. The flames caught with ease and began to burn away at the garbage. It took a while for the pile to burn down to ash, and Rin simply stood there as he waited. He stared into the flames with a dead expression, and as the flames turned to white hot coals, he turned his back to the pile and let the rain take care of the rest. With his task completed, Rin was going back to the dry warmth of his lodgings.
