Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Andeddo stepped from the deck of the ship, tossing a small coin pouch to the captain of the vessel, paying for his passage from the mainland to the village. It had been many decades since Andeddo last step foot on this island nation. In fact, so long that nothing he saw even resembled the buildings he remembered from his youth, when he first came here, and met a man who quickly became as close to Andeddo as a brother. This village brought back memories, both good and bad. The memories of Shizen, and Kira, both of whom he had met here, despite how she was not native to this land. And yet this was one of two villages who had deemed him, and all his followers, not fit to continue living.

The Ex Shimakage strolled leisurely through the streets of the harbour area, smiling slightly under the brim of his hat, his face shrouded in darkness. No one could see the small smile that adorned the mans face. Images flashed across his mind, of himself and Shizen running amok, going wild and getting into all sorts of trouble. Of Kira, and the first time he laid eyes upon her. Then his expression turned sour as his mind turned to the Kage of this village one hundred years ago, and how he lead an army to wipe him, his friends, no his family from the face of the earth. The swordsman chuckled suddenly. That man had failed, he let lived, and so did his heart.

The 'young' Kusa nin walked the streets, unafraid of any who may have sought to exploit a fresh off the boat newcomer, for no one even dared approach him, such was the aura he emitted, one of quiet and controlled danger. Andeddo stopped at a small stall, purchasing a bite to eat, devouring the kabob as he made his way yet deeper into the village, hoping to make an appearance before the Umikage, though he doubted that they would grant him the privilege. The fact that he openly wore three different village headbands around his neck probably didn't aid in this, especially given that one would be unknown to most, maybe all of the people of this time.

Speaking of people willing to exploit fresh off the boat newcomers, one old man was far more enthusiastic than the rest. He didn't let a simple boat stop at the docks without the crew and passengers hear him try and sell useless junk(Pretty darn sure there's a word that I can't think of that describes what I want better). Yes, this is what Saizo did in his free time when he managed to get away from his office. Honestly, kage work sucked. Why'd he even take this job. So instead of getting any of his work done and lighten the load, he instead dressed up and went out into the street and let the work load build up. In the long term, it seemed like an awful idea, but on the short term, nope, still seemed like a dumb idea. Still, it happened so the kage was no working as a silly no good street vendor for some unknown reason. Why a street merchant? Yea, who knows. Deal with it.

Still, one man was far more interesting than the rest of the boat people. Yes, that's right, this dude had an eyepatch. Oh and there was this other guy dressed in numerous headbands, that was also interesting in a different way. It wasn't as cool as the eyepatch sailor but he didn't seem like the usual traveling emissary. This drew Saizo's attention away from the docks and off he went to stalking the mystery man, making sure to keep his distance. Saizo kinda looked like a pickpocket with his shady merchant wear on. The only thing Anderson did though was walk leisurely and chuckle, smiling at something rather creepily. Then again, Saizo wasn't the most normal looking man on the street, hiding behind poles and signs staring at the foreign ninja "attempting" to sneak to each new hiding spot. Yea, Saizo's kind of been overworked lately.

Andeddo could feel the attention of many on him, one in particular seemed rather focussed on him. Then again this particular old man was just another hawk nosed merchant, trying to con newcoming into buying his pointless trinkets and baubles. Andy was sure it worked on some of the people fresh from the boats, but he was not one of those poor fools. Though when the old gent left his stand open, and empty in order to follow Andeddo his hand slowly crept to his blade.

He wasn't sure why the man chose to stalk him in this way, but he did, and Andeddo could catch the occasional glance at his strange stalker. Clearly the man intended stealth, and for the most part he was successful, managing to move from location to location mostly unseen. This tipped off Andy, making him believe this man more than a mere merchant con artist trying to make a quick buck. Deciding to test his theory Andeddo quickly turned into a nearby side alley, walking about half way down it, before leaping up and grabbing onto a window sill from each building, using his feet to brace himself against the walls, waiting to see if the old man followed him in.

The Ex Shimakage expected to see the old man pass by him shortly, since in his experience no one ever looked up. He held on by the tips of his fingers, keeping his breathes shallow and quiet to avoid detection. He suspected this man to be a shinobi of the village, sent to safeguard the docks from low lifes and ruffians, and to prevent them from getting deeper into the village. Andeddo didn't count himself among that number, despite his own less than pleasant views on this village, and that he wouldn't care if it were to be burnt to the ground, with everyone still in it. In fact, he might even join in on the slaughter, should he feel it deserved and done in riotousness. Deep down despite his deep seated hatred for this place, Andeddo was still a good man, and he did in fact have several fond memories of this village and some of it's people.

Picking back up from where we were, Saizo was following the unexpecting foreign ninja, using his stellar skills and lightning fast merchant reflexes, Saizo remained in the shadows of the street. Damn he was fly. But enough about Saizo. Of course, Saizo wasn't merely following the man, but also examining his body, what he wore, scars, equipment hidden in sleeves or cloaks, and etc. Saizo was in fact doing his job. Well, sort of. This wasn't exactly his job, per se, but protecting the village was one of his duties. This was probably someone else's job and Saizo was kind of surprised that no one was doing it, but there was also the chance that said someone was just that much better at hiding than Saizo was and he remained unseen by both the man he was stalking and a separate stalker. Now that would be impressive and deserve some praise and recognition. Oh, Saizo was so glad that his shiobi were so skilled.

As Andeddo turned the corner into the alley, Saizo quickly sped up in order to keep up and not lose sight of him. From the very aura the stranger exerted one could tell he was no novice. Saizo wouldn't be surprised if this guy had seen action, or even killed people. Now that in itself wasn't that impressive in this day and age, but Saizo figured he should at least account for it in his description of the man. Saizo peeked into the alley from the corner to see just how far in he'd gone. Now, Saizo wanted to see how far he had gone, not that he had gone. It wasn't till Saizo looked upwards and do what Saizo assumed was locking eyes with the unknown man that things got really awkward. Saizo just kind of stared with his head peeking in and the rest of his body hiding behind the building wall. His face was that of an awkward looking frown as he'd realize that his cover was blown, yet he still refrained from saying anything. It was almost tempting for him to sink back out of the alley and pretend this never happened. Still, leaving Mr.Parkour expert just hanging there would be a little bit of a problem.

Andeddo didn't need to wait long. The old man peaked around the wall, frowning as he didn't see the man he expected, causing a small satisfied smirk to appear on Andy's face. Though this soon disappeared as the man's head slowly raised, and the man's eyes met Andeddo's, though he doubted the man could actually see his eyes through the shadow over his face. The moment stretched on as neither man moved, nor made any attempt to speak to the other. The Seinin was impressed, not many people ever thought to look up. This proved to him that this man was in fact a trained shinobi of this village.

Sighing the man dropped back to the ground, hand reaching for his blade. "Alright, who are you, and why are you following me?"

He glanced around, wondering if this man had backup, and if they were closing in around him. Perhaps this man was supposed to be bait to lure Andeddo into a confrontation while others moved into position around them. Andeddo scowled, he hadn't been here five minutes and already he thought the village wanted his head on a silver platter. It left a sour taste in his mouth, as he thoughts travelled back yet again, to the face of the man who ruined his life, and caused the destruction of his home. A name crossed his mind, one he refused to ever speak.

Saizo came out from the wall, placing himself inside the alley, hands up in the air, palms open, in order to show he was unarmed. This gesture nowadays meant nothing, with people holding weapons up their sleeves and inside their clothing. Even without weapons, most people, or at least shinobi, were quite dangerous in hand to hand combat. Simple hand signs could kill a man as well. So in retrospect, the foreigner probably felt no less safe than he did when Saizo was still hiding behind the wall. Of course Saizo was the one being aggressed on here. Saizo was actually unarmed as swords were not a part of his merchant wear. It would be unrealistic, he thought. He did have a small dagger on him, but it was purely decorational. The dagger actually doesn't come out of the sheath. In fact, Saizo wasn't even sure if there was anything inside the sheath. He hoped he wouldn't need to find out too.

"Pardon me, sir.", saizo said, using what would be considered a Russian accent in Earth world. "I am merely traveling meerkat." he said. Saizo wasn't sure if the foreigner would buy it. "You see, I am from far up north on the mainland. And you! You are not from around here as well!" Saizo honestly didn't know where he was going with this. He did need to figure out why the man was here. "So from what land do you hail and what brings you here?"

Since Andeddo thought this man was a trained Shinobi his guard didn't lower when he approached, hands raised in good faith. Andeddo did however release his grip on his sword, Dropping his hand from the hilt, though it hovered nearby. The Kusa shinobi still expected to see several other Shippuu men to surround him shortly, and the fact that they hadn't only intrigued him more. Perhaps they thought that Andeddo was buying this mans ovbiously false story. And that accent! Offensive. Andeddo inwardly smirked, deciding to have a little fun with the old man.

"Staryy chelovek, chto aktsent yavlyayetsya oskorbitel'nym i zverskim." He spoke fluently and without pause, cocking his head to one side, a smirk threatening to over take his features. "Net, ya ne iz zdes' . Net, gde ryadom zdes' , na samom dele . Tem ne meneye, moy biznes samostoyatel'no."

Make of that what you will geezer. Andy couldn't help the smirk that finally broke out over his face, and he chuckled lightly, finally dropping his guard somewhat. "Oh man, that was great, thanks for that. Alright, no more bullshitting. I know your a shinobi of this village, so tell whoever you report to that I intend no threat to this village, nor her people. Not unless provoked."

How surprising! Saizo thought his accent and disguise hadn't been all that good, but this guy seemed to have him confused for a native! A native of what? He wasn't quite sure. The man started speaking some sort of gibberish language that must have been from some weird small island. Had he known any better, he would've pegged this man as a nut. Saizo was well endowed on island cultures, he had traveled to many of the islands of Shippuugakure and even some unclaimed lands during his younger years, so he was quite familiar with most of the languages that were unheard of in the mainland, but this wasn't one of them. Yes, in fact, he was pretty sure this man had made it up. Still, to straight up drag him into an asylum would be hasty. He also didn't want to spend tax dollars taking care of a man who wasn't even from his village. Now that would be such a waste.

But wait! He did now english. Well, that wasn't much of a surprise since the foreigner had actually spoken first. Still, the gibberish had thrown Saizo for a loop and actually had made him nearly forget. Although he said he meant no harm, Saizo didn't want to take his word for it. What if he stole an apple or something. Saizo would be blamed as the kage who left the apple stealer in the city. That wouldn't leave a very good legacy. To pass the village on to the next generation with one less piece of fruit would be unacceptable. How could he do that to the children? Thats right. He couldn't. So he would give this man a piece of his mind. "Oh, well if you say so. Is there anything you're here for in particular?"

Andeddo knew the man didn't believe the words that came from his mouth, and didn't really blame him. He was a vaguely suspicious character, though did the shinobi of this village stop every suspicious person like this? Though to be fair to these people they had been content to just track him, Andeddo was the one who made this a confrontation. So should things turn less than pleasant, which hopefully they didn't, it would be on his shoulders. However violence was not his objective here. The young man had simply wanted to see what had become of one his greatest rivals. They prospered well, while the remnants of his people eroded away even more in the waters far from this place.

Andeddo looked at the man oddly, wondering how to respond to such a question. He didn't strictly need to, though it would potentially put this man at ease. He nodded to himself. "I'm here to reminisce, this place brings back memories, despite not being... anything like I remember her."

His answer might sound strange, but it was true. "And if I get to meet the Kage, even better. Though I doubt you and your fellow shinobi would even let me close without an appointment, and I'd rather have my meeting with him.... off the records." He meant the man no harm, and honestly was merely wanting a reason to no longer hold hostility towards this village, and her people. Hopefully the current Kage was not like the man Andeddo had once known.

(OOC: Touché)
So this guy wanted to meet the kage? No, thats not exactly what he said, but he definitely seemed interested in meeting the man. "Our Kage, eh? Well, I'm not sure if I can help you on that front. He's a very busy man. What kind of business do you have with him? I'm capable of keeping a secret. Of course, if its something you don't want to tell me, thats alright too." He didn't expect this man to trust him anymore than Saizo trusted him. Thats alright though. "Say, what do they say about our kage and village over where you're from." Saizo hoped to hear some manly stories about himself fighting tailed beasts and pirate armadas single handedly. Tales of his bravado throughout the land. Something of the sort. Saizo also kind of wondered what sort of relationship he had with this village. The way he was saying it, it sounded like they were ex's of sorts. Seemed kind of weird.
