Personality: Hanbei is hard-to-read boy. Sometimes, he's nice and playful, other times, he's playful and cruel. He's almost always childish and tends to put things off if he would rather rest or play. He has the mental capacity as any adult, but the personality of a girl/boy. Hanbei loves candy and gets his hyperactive rush with it. He gets upset if he has to do tedious tasks for others and doesn't like sharing his candy. Despite his playful nature, he's extremely sadistic and torturous to others who he wishes. He is mentally twisted and can be seen as insane. He even admits his unstable mental state if necessary. Hanbei enjoys playing with marbles and torturing others viciously. He can follow orders if he's apart of an organization, but does so with plenty of whining and groaning. Overall, he's not only cunning, but unstable and unpredictable if pushed to the limit.
Hanbei doesn't like to be reminded of his old life, or his time as a slave. He will occasionally break down when he thinks too deeply about it. He shows great adoration for his mother's kimono, in which he kept from his previous life. She had always wore it and despite his hate for her, it calms him down when he is unsure why. Hanbei loves meeting nice people; and occasionally slicing them to bits with whatever's around. Deep down, he believes that innocence is a blind weakness. He doesn't like sour food or dry snacks, loves sweet tasting things, and sometimes enjoys a nice hot bowl of ramen.
After being hated for so long, Hanbei no longer feels pressured when in crowds. He is sarcastic and instigating if he is shunned by society, and wont hesitate to find the nearest blade and chop them up. Hanbei secretly longs for his own weapon, one that he works so well with that he wouldn't need to discard it for something else. Hanbei doesn't always go on killing sprees. Despite his bloodthirsty nature, he is more level-headed than he lets on. He knows how to manipulate or socialize, which is strange even to him, for being slightly autistic and tortured, many would be unable to act rational in social situations. While Hanbei may seem heartless and cold, he can indeed show strong emotions, and even love for others. These feelings however, are unknown to him and he often tries to rid himself of them, realizing that trust and warmth were the reasons that he was hurt so badly in the past.
Likes: Hanbei enjoys causing harm to others most of all. He enjoys silence sometimes, when he isn't listening to screams. Despite his sadistic nature, he likes the idea of having friends, but will deny such a longing.
Dislikes: Dislikes: Hanbei despises remembering his past; He becomes emotionally tortured by the thought. He hates when people try to ruin his fun, and really hates being made fun of or laughed at. Hanbei doesn't really like sitting and learning, preferring firsthand experiences. Hanbei has no place for the weak in his heart. He despises animal abuse, however. Although he hates weakness, he can see purity in animals, being quite an animal person himself.
Motivation: Screams, death, and what little shred of sanity he has left. He can be motivated by friendship, were he to acquire it. His is also driven by his hunger for knowledge and domination over the minds of others, making Genjutsu his main preference.
Fears: Dying alone, being in pain, hunger, and most forms of love. Having feared most things during his earlier childhood, he had learned to bury his fears. Despite suppressing such fears, he still finds them clawing at the back of his mind. His fear of hunger derives from his neglected past, where he had to scavenge and steal for food.

History: Hanbei was born in an island village close to the Shippuugakure No Sato. The village was hidden and was named Taketana. It was a village who feared ninja and hid themselves from their existence. When was growing up, everyone had little care for him, including his father. He was a strange child, autistic, but his mother, out of everyone, loved him. He always had a hard time making friends, and was often lonely, but his mother always played with him when no one else would. She would always tell him how beautiful his black hair and brown eyes were. One day, when he was 10, he went out to explore the surrounding forest of the village, despite the villages' warning not to. He came upon an almost tattered-like paper object. He further investigated this object and learned that it was a scroll, like the ones his father wrote messages on to send to other villages.
Opening the scroll up, he began to look over the contents and even wording some things. As he reached the bottom, he began to grow dizzy and within moments, blacked out. He awoke several hours, but noticed right away that something had changed. He noticed that his hair, which he could always see out of the corner of his eye, was silver. He hadn't noticed the change in his eyes, but soon learned about it when he returned to his home. His parents, who were waiting for him to scold him, were baffled by the boy's change. The father shunned his child and his mother, whom always loved her child and how beautiful he was, denied that he was hers, almost in denial. He was not allowed to be in the house, nor was he fed or allowed to be near them. He was abandoned and disowned. Hanbei's parents weren't the only ones who noticed his change. The other villagers began to treat him nasty, calling him 'demon' and 'freak'. They knew that this change wasn't by normal means, and some even rumored that he pledged himself to a devil.
Hanbei would always wait outside of his house in the mornings, hoping that his parents would come out, hug him, and let him inside, but every time they left the house, he was growled at and even shoved aside by his father. His mother however, did not shun the boy; instead, she ignored him. This killed him inside every day. For a year, Hanbei got by on scraps of food and stealing from the rice fields, in which the farmers would beat him. After a while, things began to seem like a daily regiment for him. Wait, eat, beg, and sleep. It wasn't long before the villagers decided to drive the boy out of the village for all the mischief he caused to survive. Homeless and lost in the wilderness, Hanbei had to survive on berries, some of which hurt his stomach and even caused nausea. A month later, Hanbei was found and kidnapped by bandits who resided in the forest. They beat him, tortured him, and did unspeakable perverted acts against him. A year of being a slave to the bandits, Hanbei had grown scornful and cruel. His mental state was wrecked and his innocence was ripped from him. He had no care if other children were beaten to death and did not wince at their torture. He was used to pain and used to seeing it.
Half a year later, Hanbei broke free from his bonds and, out of careful months of monitoring the daily routines of the bandits, carved his way out with a billhook blade that had been left outside of his cell. Some of the bandits, he knocked unconscious and later tortured them after his slaughter. The other boys were no allies to Hanbei either, so they too were cut to pieces.
Finally leaving, Hanbei returned to his village, knowing exactly what he would do.
The village was left red; bodies littered the ground along with dull farming tools which were used to defend the village. Despite Hanbei being a child, the billhook was sharper than any weapon that the villagers had, and he was quicker than anyone who lived there as well. He showed little remorse for every head he cleaved off, or every stomach cut open. He made sure that the last he killed, were his parents. Before striking down his mother however, he cried a bit. Despite the fact that she now wanted nothing to do with him, she was always nice to him, and did not hit him or shove him to the ground like everyone else did. Hanbei left his village and adorned his mother's kimono, being the only clothing he felt he could wear in that situation. He soon realizes that the scroll he found not only drained the color from his appearance, but gave him the knowledge to fool others and play tricks on their mind. Hanbei had to think quickly, for others would surely find out about the villages' destruction, due to the smoke. The boy boarded the only ship which was leaving the docks. He stowed away in the lower decks, realizing that some of the villagers were planning on escaping. Hanbei knew that he couldn't let any of them leave the ship alive. He began slaughtering and killing the passengers with ease, even using some of his new mind tricks to help him gain an upper hand. After killing the 'captain' of the ship, he noticed that he was nearing the mainland; close to Shippuugakure No Sato. Hanbei set fire to the ship before it crashed into the shore to remove the evidence of his butchery. As Hanbei was launched from the deck of the ship, he landed onto the ground as the ship crashed and began to quickly burn, the bodies being charred to remove the remnants of slashes and cuts. He lie there, unconscious, but safe from the flames.
RP Sample: Hanbei rose from behind the crate in the lower deck, grabbing a hand scythe from the storage. He snuck up on one of the refugees, reaching around to slit his throat. As the man's body hits the floor with a thud, other refugees came to investigate the noise. The boy quickly pushed the body behind a crate; he could do nothing to hide the blood, however. Luckily, the others didn't notice the small pool of blood on the floorboards, seeping into the lower part of the ship that kept it buoyant. "Hey... Where'd he go? Hey! Where are ya'?" As they approached Hanbei's hiding spot, his breath grew huskier and more rapid. As soon as a foot steps into his view, Hanbei lunged his arm out and sliced at the achilles tendon of a tall man. He had noticed by the footsteps that there were two of them on the lower deck. One was on the floor, bleeding from his ankle, and the other was about to pull out a dull knife. Before she could draw her dirk, he slashed at her belly, causing her to fall to her knees, holding her stomach to keep her contents from pouring out. Hanbei took this chance to slash at her throat, almost taking her head clean off. Collapsing to the floor, the woman died in mere seconds. He quickly turned to the screaming man, lunging down to sink the scythe into his eye socket, piercing his brain, "SHUT UP!" While Hanbei would normally revel in such screams, he couldn't alert the whole ship just yet... He was just getting started~ One floor down, two more to go...
