Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Name: Thug Life?
Difficulty: C
Location: Shippuugakure
Reward: 15,000
Experience: 50
Objective: Complete The Mission!
Description: Some locals are complaining of a local gang that is causing trouble along the hood. That's where you come in. You were hired to stop them. You can try and talk them out of this life, but chances are, unless you have a sharp tongue, you will have to get a bit rough with them. Try not to kill them if possible. They are still members of the village, after all. There will be about 5. They are normal humans for the most part, except one, who doesn't know any jutsu, but he does have around B Rank Strength and C Rank Speed and C Rank Endurance. Also, at least two will be armed with a knife or sword.
========================================================

Tekishi didn’t understand it, it being: why someone would want to be a thug all their life, or any part of their life rather. There had seemed to be no point to it, nothing to gain from it. What did the lifestyle offer you? Did the lifestyle make you feel so good that you couldn’t move on to something better for yourself? Something more positive? How does living the life of a thug make you a positive influence for other people? Does it? These were things that he asked himself as he left the Umikage Tower with his next mission acceptance in his hand. He had been on a roll and had been determined to remain so. There was still a few other things he needed to get done in regards to training, but that will get done when it does, he was sure of it.

[You’re not mister clean up the streets,] antagonized the Nibi no Kani, almost right on time. Well, he was exactly on time in regards to when Tekishi thought he would start snapping his claws at him through the bars which made up the seal that connected the two entities. The raw chakra of the bijuu and the physical being of Tekishis’. {I am mister whoever I say I am,} he responded to the demon, as he got closer and closer to the designated hood that had the aforementioned gang violence or disturbance of the peace, what have you.

Tekishi had felt like a cop sometimes, having to save civilians or do things like what he was about to do, go put civilians in their place. He didn’t really enjoy this feeling at all, and the Nibi no Kani’s comment on the matter made him feel even more uncomfortable in this position. He was after all mostly a trouble making shinobi himself, so being tasked to clean up someone else’s act just seemed...awkward. Nevertheless, it had to be done and addressed accordingly, otherwise the gangs would continue to grow and the civilians who were law-abiding would become more and more terrorized by their antics. We couldn’t have that now could we?

{Looks like this is the hood,} he thought as he turned the corner into what was more an alley than a neighborhood. Littered along the stone wall off to the left was a bunch of graffiti that was so dense in certain areas it was hardly legible or simply wasn’t at all. Glancing at it once, as he scanned the alley, then drawing his attention back to that wall as he began walking down the alley, he didn’t see any pattern in the graffit. He was searching for gang marks or symbols, and even from all of what he saw there was no telling what was used to identify what as he was not affiliated with any gangs and the mission briefing didn’t provide him with that intelligence.

He let the digits attached to his left hand slide along the wall with the graffiti on it as he slowly walked further into the alley. Up ahead there was a break in the wall and it cut into the left where it was connected to, from what Tekishi could see over the wall he was standing next to, a larger building. A warehouse of sorts. As he got closer he could hear some talking, the clatter of stuff on aluminum trash cans, the breaking of glass bottles. He rounded the corner and counted about 5 or 6 of them hanging out on a junked car. “Well hello fellows?”

The guy who sat with a knee propped up close to his chest with the most tattoos on his face seemed to be the leader of the gang. “Yo, yo, who the fudge are you?” he asked without moving his physical position or changing his already unsavory demeanor. The rest of his gang had turned their attention towards Tekishi and began slowly walking towards him. Their faces all were gaunt and seemed to have nothing but ill intentions on the brain. One held a thick three or six foot link of chain he swung around menacingly, two others had baseball bats, one aluminum, the other wooden, the last guy had a pair of broken glass bottles, one for each hand.

“Fellas, we can talk this out can’t we?” he asked, stepping back and looking around him for anything he could use to defend himself or fight back with. The closest thing was the lid of a trashcan. The moment the closest guy with the broken glass bottles charged forward, Tekishi stepped on the trash can lid to flip it up into his hands. He then quickly pivoted his torso back to face in front of him and blocked both jabs thrown with the broken glass bottles. He deflected the follow up jab down and to the ground with additional force before continuing the momentum to spin around fully and smack him in the back of the head with it, securely face planting the guy into the dirt beneath their feet.

Both guys with the baseball bats came up on both sides of Tekishi and swung simultaneously, missing a Tekishi who had now shunshin’ed behind their leader and held him in a head lock. The vibration from the collision of their bats numbed their hands and they dropped their weapons in turn, shaking their hands trying to get feeling back to them.

“Let me go! Let me go man, come on! Let me go!” The leader who looked tough to civilians, surely didn’t look the same now in comparison to the entry level shinobi. “Are you going to clean up the act and stop doing what you’ve been doing?”
“We haven’t been doing anything man, I swear!”
“You lie!” Tekishi gave the dude a good shake and tightening of the head lock.
“I swear man, I swear we haven’t been doing anything but hanging out around here and breaking stuff,” he squealed.
“I don’t believe you, and the neighbors have reported that you’ve been terrorizing them.”
“Terrorizing neighbors?” He sounded puzzled about this himself, as though he couldn’t recall it from all the crime he did.
“Yes, duh! That’s why I’m here and I know you did it!” He gave him another good shake and tighten of the head lock, causing the guy to squeal even more.
“I..ackk..ugh..huh..huh..” Tekishi had to untighten the head lock a little so the guy could still talk.
“What were you saying?”
“I was saying that that isn’t us! You’re beating up the wrong guys!”
“You know, we could get along so much better if you just told me the truth? The information that I was given led my right to you guys, so there is no mistake made on my part.”
“It was probably Sting!”
“Sting?”
“Yeah, Sting. They are a rival gang. They probably sent in a false report from an anonymous tip.”
“fudge,” said Tekishi as he let the guys head go and pushed him forward. The fourth guy who had been smacked in the back of the head with the trash can lid just now picking himself up.

“So what do you guys call yourselves?” he asked.
The other four guys huddled around their leader as they looked up at Tekishi standing with hands on his hips on top of the car.
“We call ourselves, Mali, it’s close to Latin, but it still means ‘bad,’” he said with a grin.
Tekishi scowled at him, effectively wiping the grin off of his face.
“I don’t want you guys to retaliate or anything, especially not in this manner. You are wasting precious time of a hard working shinobi, such as myself, coming here for nothing but to knock a few heads around. I will look into this further, do you guys have any information about the other gang you want to give over to me?”
“Sting fucking sucks!” one of the followers yelled out impulsively, as though this very phrase has been embedded in his brain and those were the only words he knew how to speak.
“Real information you idiot.”
“Sting, them bastards, they operate on the reverse side of this warehouse here and this is what divides our turf. If you walk around, or jump over the warehouse or do that disappearing thing over to that side...whatever you ninja’s do…you’ll come to a graffitied wall on the right hand side of the alley and it will break in on the right hand side exactly how this did. Their graffiti symbol is of a scorpion, so if you see any scorpions you’ll know it’s theirs…” started the gang leader. “They have the same amount of members as we do in total, five and their leader has a mohawk. Is that enough information for you?”
“What graffiti symbol do you guys use?”
Again, impulsively and mindlessly so, the same guy blurted out an answer. That didn’t help out their situation. Tekishi had went ahead and notated what the guy had said, and when he looked up they were already running away. “Bastards…”
