Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Nervous and excited, Miyuki approached the office of the Kanetsukage. This was it. Her first mission as an official kunoichi of Bouffugakure. Sure it’d probably be a D-rank mission rather than something glamorous like what they showed ninja doing in the books and movies (the academy had made sure to explain how the mission ranking system worked. D-ranks were generally safe and therefore considered the perfect type of mission for a beginning ninja like she was now. Unfortunately what was considered safe was rarely also considered glamorous).

Miyuki had to wait a few minutes before she was allowed in to see the Kanetsukage. That was understandable; any village leader, be they the leader of a ninja village like Boufuugakure or an ordinary one, was undoubtedly very busy with vitally important tasks. That the Kanetsukage designed to carve a bit of time out of her packed schedule to meet with and assign missions to even a lowly genin such as herself had Miyuki in awe. Once she was inside, she bowed to the Kanetsukage and slid into an at attention stance (a bit stiff and formal perhaps, but Miyuki could be forgiven. She had yet to learn to relax in the face of her Kage, and how her Kage handled lapses in formality). “I would like to request the library assistance mission.

The Kanetsukage was continuously shifting through paper upon paper, no real quickness in between but it was a pace she was content with. It gave her time to look over each document and sign it accordingly without the worry of making a mistake or signing something that she would later come to regret. It wasn't long before there was a knock at the door that would soon bring a ninja to come face to face with her as she continued to keep her attention on the paper in front of her before glancing up to see the genin  that looked more like a stiff board than a ninja.

She would look her up and down and then wave her hand lightly in the air "It's okay, I wont bite." she would say after a mission would be requested. The librarian within the village had indeed gotten sick and the place did need looking after. Cornelia would look around her desktop and shift through a few piles and would pull out a green envelope and open it and pulled a paper up and out of it with the mission on it. She would read it over and then put it on the desk and sign it and return it back into its container and hold it out to the ninja "I'm sure you'll do fine, signed and approved. Return it to me when the day is done."

"Yes Ma'am." Miyuki said smartly as she took the paper that her Kage handed her. A quick scan of the orders before stowing them safely away (to be looked at in further detail on the way out to the library; no need to bore the Kanetsukage or take up any more of her precious time than she need to by thoughtfully reading them here and now after all) and taking her leave with a bow. She would, of course be back later in the day once the mission was done to hand in her mission report.

And if there was a spring in her step that was wildly out of sync with heading out to play librarian for a day (shelving books was about as far away from exciting as you could get after all), well that was understandable to those who knew that this was the First Mission Eva! and would no doubt generate more than a few nostalgically indulgent smiles as she passed (for rarely did the enthusiasm for doing D-rank missions last beyond that first week; and then it generally only tended to return after long periods of no missions, the fist couple of weeks of jonin-sensei duty, and after those rare yet infamous bad missions gone so far south you ended up back where you began if not just a little bit north of there that anything simple and straight forward was a god send).

Later that day (much later than she would've liked - especially since her stomach was reminding her that she had yet to grab dinner), Miyuki made her way back to the Kanetsukage's office. And after another eternity (or so it felt like) of a wait, she was ushered in to hand in her completed mission report. "Kanetuskage-sama. Here is my completed mission report." she said, handing over the scroll that the head librarian, Tanaka-san, had signed off on.
