Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

There he was, just another beautiful day in the village of the ocean waves. Or at least that's what he wished the village was called. No, instead it got the vicious name of the Hurricane village. Now Hurricanes were nice and all, not really, but the name Ocean Waves just sounded so much nicer, peaceful even. It would definitely attract the tourists. They would be able to enjoy the beaches after storm season and check out the many luxuries on the southernmost island of the ninjas world. The revanue could bolster up their military power and put them ahead of the rest. It would help, especially in these times of "peace". The word peace was decieving however. It was really just another way to say tension building times. Yes, its true. The villages never really got along. Former alliances were no more. Most of the villages held ill will towards the other ones. None of the villages were friends yet. Rather strange at the outburst of the new generation. The Jungle and Storm both acquiring two young kage for the village. Even the Ocean Waves, er Hurricane Village got a new kage. All were young. Saizo probably being the youngest he had figured. It was a surprise that they would even let a kid like him take charge. It wasn't like he asked for the position, either. It was completely out of the blue for the most part and it was too late for a change. A quick resignation would not only shame him and his clansmen, who were already quite shamed and split up due to the pirate life, but it would bring shame to the former Umikage and the village. There was no way he could do such a thing. Of course, the former Umikages taught him a lot. His teacher, the old man was a great person. The Umikage that came after him, Saigon of the twin dragons was equally impressive but Saizo also viewed him as cold hearted. He didn't share the same passion as the old man. He was the 4th now.(Unless I'm told otherwise) The second was already near his deathbed, the third, well, he was a special case. There were many conflicting thoughts about him. Some viewed his methods as evil and cold, others believed the sacrifices he made were necceassary and the means didn't matter, only the end results did. Saizo respected him, but he wasn't sure he could respect his ideals. His strength was undeniable though. His position was almost stripped from it. Many rumors stemmed from it. Most say he resigned on his own, others say he was pushed into doing it. His popularity reaching a low or the Damiyos disapproval of something big that occurred. Even Saizo didn't know. If the current Umikage didn't know then it was probably best unknown. What if... maybe he did need to know. Maybe another time. Well, enough about that. It was still a beautiful day in the lovely village of Shippuu. It was too bad he was stuck inside doing paperwork still. No wonder The other kage passed the job on. It was a lot of work to keep track of all these ninjas and tasks that needed completion. Way too much time. It kind of sucked. Unable to leave unless he wanted to get chewed out and scolded later. It was so nice out too. To think a perfect day like this would be wasted on measly work at a desk. He had enjoyed the open windows in his own little personal area but today they seemed like a curse, tempting him to leave the safety of the office and explore the vast island. He was sure the caves held some interesting things. Washed up items maybe. Hidden treasures just waiting to be found underneath the piles of sand. Ah, the warm sand. Nothing beats the the beach. The soothing sound of waves, the amazing breeze. Any day that it wasn't raining in Shippuu it was a paradise. The market was probably bustling. Fresh fish being unloaded of the boats. Young children running along the wooden planks.Oooh how he wanted to get out there. Maybe if he made a shadow clone and made him do the work for him. That seemed like feasible plan, actually. As long as he kept concealed as he snuck out, it shouldn't become a big problem. As long as he got the work done too, he would most likely be ok. Maybe a scolding at how innapropriate it is for a grown man to be sneaking out to see the town. That would seem like no big deal. Well, instead of making a shadows clone like he initially stated he would do, he made a water clone in its place. Not a huge difference when it came down to function. It could still get the work done. "Alright, you stay here and keep working. I just need to step out for a second." He said to the clone with a small smile. "Where you going?" The clone asked him. "Huh? Uh uhm, you know, just going to pick up some things from the grocery store and Ill be right back." His smile starting to disappear. "Oh ok, that's fine." The clone said as it toke the seat the original was previously sitting in. "Uhm ok. I'm off then." Saizo said as he started his way to the window. Unable to use the front door due to risk of being discovered. "Wait just a second. You cloned me after you thought of the plan, dont you remember. I already know what you are planning to do." Said the clone. "Well, uhh, shit." He said under his breath. "Here. Ill go get the groceries, you stay here and work on the paperstacks." The clone said as he made his way to the window and Saizo went back to his chair. "Don't waste too much time." The clone said before leaving the building. Saizo was peeved, but he did as instructed and signed sheets. Sometimes he didn't even read the papers. Finding where he needed to sign was work enough. A solid twenty minutes passed before he realized it. He just got duped by his clone. That bastard just switched places with him and was probably having the time of his life out there while the real him was trapped in this office like a prisoner. How did that happen? Could he just release the jutsu now and have the clone revert to a thoughtless puddle? Maybe he should for its display of arrogance and outsmarting him. That would make him look like a poor sport, though. The clone won the battle of wits fair and square afterall. Unfortunately, Said would be the one who would have to step down in this battle. He was the one to taste bitter defeat. Never a good taste on ones toungue. It was what he deserved. Being decieved by that copycat. At least he knew that he could beat him in a display of looks. He was far more handsome then he was, anyways. In the corner of his eye, Saizo caught a glimpse of what the other him was doing. He saw two women. Attractive women at that. That could have been him. Life was cruel.

Oh so unfair indeed. It could of been worse he supposed. At least he would probably obtain the experience when the clone returned back to its original state. Hopefully. Still, It was far more exciting and great to live through the experience himself then just to have it pop into his mind as he keeps working. He really didn't want to keep working. Working sucked. That is unless you were a workaholic, then maybe you enjoyed working your fingers to the bone and doing repetitive tasks over and over again. Saizo was, obviously, not one of those kinds of people. He would much rather be outside enjoying himself. There was no rule that he had to stay in the office though. He really wanted to switch places with the clone. If only he knew some sort of technique that allowed him to instantly teleport wherever he desired. Kind of like that sword of that one girl in the moon village. Rather frightening actually. The ability to create holes in space. What was even more frightening was its battle potential. She could transport armies through those holes. Sneak attack villages before they even know whats going on. It was way too powerful for any of the villages to have. He was almost tempted to go back to the moon, rip it out of her hands and break it. He liked the girl, though. She was kind. He also liked Tsuki. It had a nice atmosphere. It was a nice vacation spot. Many sights to see, things to buy, people to meet. To think the village was built with the money of warring villages. Amazing how something so great could come from something so vile. The blood of the other villages, supporting the life style of theirs. His own village was no stranger to war. They were a strong village. They were the reason the Village in the Volcano was no longer with them. They were strong. They had many things up their sleeves, such as the Uchiha. A strong clan indeed. Especially when one had fully awakened the power the eyes had. It was scary, really. So much power in one person. Fear brought order, though. Order was necessary in this world. Someone or something to rule over them all. To keep them in line. Not a tyrannical force, just something to make sure everyone had a real shot. Fairness between them all. Seemed impossible, though. To find something powerful enough to make all the kages kneel before it. Maybe it was just a foolish thought. If he wanted something done he would need to use his own two hands. To do that, he would need to get stronger. He was still very weak compared to those who came before him. He still had a long ways to go. Saizo looked up from the stack of papers he was reviewing. He was already half way done by the looks of it. His hand went to the handle next to his deck. Not one of his drawers but one of the twin handles of his sword. Hiramekarei was leaning on the desk. He kept it by his side. Seemed like the most obvious place to keep it. It was a strong, reliable sword. He was lucky he could call himself its wielder.

Yes, he was very lucky. It was such a great sword. Its special abilities coming in handy on many occasions. It was one of the seven swords of the sage after all. If it was anything less then powerful he would be surprised. He got the sword a while ago. Back when he was a chunin he stumbled across the strange blade. He had no idea at the time that it was a famous blade. The only thing he really saw in the blade was its cool but strange shape and he fell in love with it. It wasn't till much later that he learned its true power and its name. His swordsmanship really improved with this blade in hand. It allowed him to refine a new strength. His blade skills were only a little above average before he owned it. He didn't even have a proper blade. All he knew was what he learned as a kid. That wasn't really much , though.
He didn't even know how to flow chakra into a weapon, that's how useless he was. Course, it was still an advanced skill so it was no surprise that he was unable to do it. He still beat himself up for it, though. Tunable to do something that looked so simple. He had never imagined how complex it actually had been. Hiramekarei, however, greatly simplified this. It was meant to flow chakra. It was its special calling. Saizo never imagined the treasure he had found. It wasn't till a local blacksmith spotted it on his back one fateful day. The blacksmith dragged him into the shop. He asked many questions. "Where'd you find that blade? Do you know what it even is? Can I touch it? What time is it?" All those questions and more. He gave Saizo some wrap for the sword. He also explained how he should fare for it and its supposed ability. Saizo learner a lot from that man. He later became Saizos personal guy for weapons and ware. Lucky him. He had no idea that the customer he just earned was soon to become Umikage. He earned it, though. He was kind. The wrappings were free and his info as well. If it weren't for him, Saizo probably wouldn't have realized his sword was even more special then he imagined. He still enjoyed swinging it around as a club but he soon learned how to use the sword to its full potential. Chakra flowing through the sword. He could feel it purr in delight whenever he used it. He and his weapon were starting to become one at this point. It was like an extra limb. He could crush mountains with that sword in hand. Now it simply leaned on his desk, waiting for the next battle. He toke great care of it too. Washing it once a week. Flowing chakra to make sure it didn't clog up. Swung it around a little. Yea. Saizo would have made a great pet owner. If only animals didn't hate him so much. Saizo sighed as his leg hit his desk. Out of his desk popped out a scroll. Inside this scroll, a special jutsu of the past Umikage. He knew what he was doing for the rest of the day.
